Status: offline 		OK, in this case I am not god, but a dictator of the country. The US Congress is cancelled because I developed some superior technology or some shit and they just went home.

As supreme dictator of the US, what would you have me do ?

What I would actually do comes later after people chime in with their plans. But my plans involve making peace, not pieces.

But how many of your wishes say "kill" ?

Tell you what, I got a pretty big list but it is not race or region based.

I'd have you issue a proclamation, giving me a small piece of Colorado (maybe 500 m²) and allow me to secede from the union.

I want nothing more to do with this country. However, some of the people in it aren't complete assholes so, I'd offer them some land in my little Utopia.

Ooooh! I'd want the proclamation to include a yearly Foreign Aid package of a modest $12M.

1. Rewrite the Constitution, clearly defining how it is to be interpreted. Have it much like it is now, but with some modifications.

2. Hold general elections to fill the new government, and hand over the reins.

Status: offline 		I can never imagine US becoming a dictatorship. There will be civil war. Citizens bear arms, will form their own army, and will fight against this dictatorship with arms.

The only thing US needs to fix is how they spend their tax money. Better budgeting required. It's interesting that Bernie talks about rebuilding infrastructures to create alot of jobs. Trump talks about making manufacturing boom again. But Trump also supports rebuilding of infrastructures. Both are good ideas.

Laws and tax codes would change to make it more attractive to have business here rather than overseas. Banks would be regulated to the point where they could not drop the economy the next time they are in the mood to make another cool trillion. That money is gone, it went somewhere. I do not want to regulate your life. I do not give a shit what you do, who you fick, what kind of chemicals you like to ingest, what you eat, drink or say. As a dictator of a free country I simply would not care.

I think it was Allistair (sp) Crowley who said - if it hurts none, do as thou wilt.

BUT, and this is a big one, I would regulate the banks damnear out of business. I would punish those motherfuckers for what they did, HARD.

We agree on alot of things Des, but not this.

I would also go on to say that we are not going to spend billions watching you so you don't get nukes. Go right ahead. But you DO know that if you ever nuke anyone you are dead the next day right ? I know the shit they did to you was nasty but that was before I was born. It is a new day now.

As far as the trade imbalance, tariffs would be great but then there are treaties to cut down first. I would get around that easily by taxing the US companies on their imported goods. As far as I know, a treaty cannot effect any change in the internal taxes of a country.

As far as what they want to call it, you remember the dispute with the ACA (Obamacare) and whether it is a tax or not ? Well all the supreme court has to do is rule it is a tax not a tariff. Case closed.

What if I had soldiers escort all eight of them out ?

Remember, YOU are the dictator. YOU will rewrite the Constitution, not "this bunch of motherfuckers."

There will always be challenges to how the words in the Constitution are interpreted. Always. And, that's why we have so many fucking issues with government creeping into almost every aspect of our lives. Specifying the interpretation would be the most important (and, perhaps, only) addition I'd want, unless you were to incorporate the currently active Amendments into the Constitution (no sense in putting in prohibition just to also take it out) wording itself.
