Myself, I find the way that all of the elected Politicians who've spent the whole of this election cycle whining about Trump are suddenly far too busy to stand as an independent once Kristol suggests it a lot more amusing, but that's just me. (Although Ryan's flip-flop was pretty awesome.)

I've always been impressed with your thirst for....truth. Truth is always where you find it...easy to say.... I'm not a huge fan of either side....I lean towards Trump but...it's BECAUSE I've read his treatise. It's fairly clean. Interestingly enough....every bit of his campaign has followed EVERY word he wrote in every one of his books...."ask for 30, knowing full well the other side is expecting you to come in at 7....they're stunned....offer 24....demand "no less than 20"....and you settle at 15". Knowing full well your best position was at 11. And we got a better deal. It's business....I do it every day. (Every day....s'wut I do). When I was a "kid"....in the game....I REGULARY came in asking for 9 because I KNEW 7 was a good deal...and settled for 6 because....it was "fair" to meet somewhere in the middle. I read his books in the late 80's....they changed my (negotiating) life. Today...if the deal is a 9....I start at 40....and nearly always end up an 23. He says what he thinks....but...so did Obama when he said "I will close Gitmo in my first 100 days". (It's still open...9 years after he said it would occur). There appears to be somewhat of a good reason for that. (What....I'm not altogether certain of). Trump wants to make "America Great Again". This isn't a Reaganist...."New Dawn". It's a businessman, frustrated with the system....who wants a better deal. He wants to have Saudi Arabia pay their fair share of the cost of maintaining their ports. He wants to tell Japan...."Hey folks....we're spending a FUCKLOAD of money protecting your shores"......and.... "You"(they) should pay some fair share. We have been paying....FUCKLOADS to be the police of the world....for 60 years. We've been PAYING for that privilege. Should we? I'm not capable of geopolitical math to be able to do those numbers but.... Shouldn't others pay some of that cost? Is there value in protecting the Straigh of Hormuz? WERE (through our PATENT acceptance of and support for Wahhabi'sm) responsible for the Saudi's hate against the Western world (the U.S. included)!!!!!! (That's fucked up!!!!). I have no idea but....you put the pieces together and they do tend to paint a rather specific picture. Here's what I think (call me crazy)..... There was a time when my brother (Mr Computer/internet geek....5 years older than me) would send me emails (or...even earlier in the dark ages........phone messages) telling me that "Jon the world's going to shit" and then...tinfoil hat shit about diseases that seemed odd...that arrived JUST when some other panic seemed resolved....cold war....done...then...some other panic.....then another after the last one (after having spent some 900 katrillion to resolve same....and then....another.....). And I always thought...."that's some weird fucking shit....that just CAN'T be true".....and then....6 months later....some other catastrophic shit would occur. Crazy? I'm not smart enough to know..... What I am smart enough to know is....all the hippies of the 60's that questioned things.....were right. All those riots and masses of people that ranted about all the nuclear facilities in the 60's? It's now known they (all the riots against nuclear) were paid for by the oil companies....every one of them (it's documented). Now.....think.....just for one second....why WOULDN'T the oil companies pay to disrupt nuclear? Hmmmmm? Vietnam....the Gulf of Tonkin (where we were apparently fired upon?)....that STARTED the Vietnam war? Lies. Bald....unobtrusive....flat out....lies. Sorry...I diverged....Trump....I've read his books (and 100's of others that tell me how he thinks....since I was 11). P T Barnum.....it's all theater. (It's ALL theater). He's played his book out as flawlessly as P T Barnum ("this way to the Egress") ever did. There's no shame in thinking Trump is a phenomenal marketing (genius). He sells soap. (Anyone know a politician that doesn't/didn't?). What is the world? Truly? One GIANT marketing machine. I think Trump is the lesser of several evils. I also think he's a genius. I think he will do what every politician before him has done....what it takes. And then go "oh well....shit's changed". Will he do what he says...verbatim? Has any other? I think he's a very smart man (whatever you believe his $ numbers to be....they're substantial in every regard)....my choice was Kasich.....from the day he jumped on board but....his "awww shucks" thing fucked him. I hope he's on the board in some capacity....he'll buffer Trump. I hope Carson gets a seat at the table....he seems to me a good man but....he doesn't yet know how they make sausage. Once inculcated....he could be a reasonable contender for 2024...but not sooner. All the others...they got some decent reflection off their foreheads during the debates but...none jumped out at me. Trump? I think he would do fine. Truly. He wants to stop crazy people from hurting us. He wants crazy people to stop coming in here...with intended purpose....stated purpose. He hasn't asked for and hasn't suggested internment.....simply....a time...to discern. (I think that's entirely logical). I don't vote....haven't since Gore won the Presidency (by 1+ million votes). That was it for me. I thought...up until then that my vote actually mattered. THAT......is what I think. (Regardless of what I've been accused of thinking/believing). (Thanks for asking).

Yeah, I really dont give the glimmer of a good goddamn fuck. We did a 1 time bankrupt, we aint gonna do a 4 time bankrupt, I dont give a fuck how much felch anyone gobbles. Nobody, including the guys that think they are voting for him is that fucking stupid.

(Read your history...we owed 900 billion when Reagan came in to office and he made clear...."the deficit will go away in my Presidency", and then proceeded to create not only the highest deficits in all of (the world's) history, but left us with 3.7 trillion "debt"....4 times not only what he inherited....but more in his first TWO years than we had accumulated in our entire U.S. History). NO other Prez has raised our debt on a % basis....more than the Great Saviour (said.....by a lifelong Republican). Reagan was not the "Great Prez" he was made out to be....that entire 8 years was built on one very simple thing....a giant credit card (with no monthly bill due). He did a LOT of great things....economics.....well....uhhhmmmm.....no. "Deficits don't matter" (Of course they do).

And I got less than half the recommendations there from HS teachers, one more than all others. I actually looked up what was expected in uni literature classes, I felt so bad being a HS dropout, immediately after the fact. I think I tortured myself then worse than I ever did anytime else in my intellectual life. Hence the Joyce and Faulkner. Not that you're going to hear me griping overly much about either experience.
