I don't know why people are making a big deal of the Mexican judge comment. Is it not true the Judge has Mexican heritage? If that is true then he is Mexican. It's just like, I am still a Chinese as I have china heritage, even though I was born in Singapore. Calling out his heritage is racism? I didn't know it's a racial slur to be called a Mexican now? Gawd, people are so ashamed of their roots!

Secondly, isn't he a member of La Raza Lawyers Association which specialises in preventing illegal latinos from being deported? That would indeed be a conflict of interest.

They should both be in jail

Hillary for general sleaze and giving away secrets and Trump for contempt of court. (Could anyone else get away with personal attacks on a judge who is trying his fraud case without going to jail for contempt?)

You are unfamiliar with US law.

If a judge is trying your case and you say anything personal about the judge, he can and (unless you are a Donald Trump) WILL send your happy ass to jail for contempt of court until he is convinced you have had a change of attitude.

"The Donald" seems immune to the law in this case.

I have read that there were past cases where race was used as a factor in getting the judge change in certain cases, due to conflict of interest. Like it is possible to happen legally. You know, in my country, most of the judges are actually Indian, and they are trialing Chinese people, I kinda like how a different race trial chinese people problems. No room to associate race biastism. I mean in this case, it's the most minority race trialing the most majority race.
But nothing is stopping this judge from sending Trump to jail anyway. If it's in his legal right to make an example out of him and Trump has broke a law, he should do it. Send Trump to jail.
End of the day, the law is the law. I won't argue against a law.

(a) Any justice, judge, or magistrate judge of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.
(b) He shall also disqualify himself in the following circumstances:
(1) Where he has a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party, or personal knowledge of disputed evidentiary facts concerning the proceeding;

I seriously think Trump has a point. But Trump will have to work harder to find solid evidence of this "personal prejudice". Since so far his only evidence is that, his Mexican heritage.
