7) Switzerland you really fuking said that Bites his tongue

where is Scotland on this list?

At 47 with the rest of the UK.

Mind you, if it wasn't for Glasgow fucking up the averages, the UK would probably be top twenty.

I tend to find the attempts to compare the US to countries like Iceland, Denmark, or Switzerland rather ridiculous.

So what, nobody tried to compare them, I only noted the fact that the top 9 or so safest countries also have both gun ownership and freedom of speech, the factors you gave for the US being so far down the list.

And don't forget that Welsh 007 guy.

He went all over the place garroting Russian and East German spies, shooting a bunch of Asians, etc. Not to mention the repartee between the Welsh guy and the English Miss Moneypenny, which almost killed it for some.

That couldn't have helped the peace score for the UK.

OTOH, he apparently lived twice, which may have held the peace score within reasonable bounds.

Nothing like resurrection to hold down the death count.

He was Sottish as well.
(In fact, Ian Fleming added something to the next Bond novel he did after the first couple of films came out that the character was half Scottish with a Dutch mum or something. I don't think anything about an accent was mentioned before then.)

I don't why I had in my head Connery was Welsh, one of those 'myths in youth' things, I guess.

Oh, but what damage to the national peace score, nonetheless!

He did great voice-over work in his latter years, according to the pro audio site I attend. Just the voice and prosody alone (in his case) are what producers call 'Gold.'

And if you hear examples, you'd understand why.

Such examples not able to render here, sorry.

How can you be so sure my comments had anything to do with you or this thread? Was I talking to you when I said it? No. Did I mention you by name? No. Are there plenty of other examples on these threads of people trying to compare the US to Europe? Yes. So why don't you just chillax?

If it's a ranking, it's a comparison.

Some can see that, some can't.

Don't push mental boundaries too much, there.
