Last week a 42 year old woman was shot then repeatedly stabbed, by some raving idiot who was yelling "Britain First!" as he was doing it. The 42 year old woman in question was Jo Cox. A mother of two and the most vocal supporter of Britain taking in refugees. She helped with publicity for the White Helmets (an organisation helping rescue people from Syria). A 52 year old man, who apparently had links to several far-right groups. But so far the UK press has not called him a terrorist. It should be added that "Britain first" is not just some phrase but an extreme right party in the UK; they label themselves as "a patriotic political party and street defence organisation." "Defence" is obviously euphemism for violent assault.

I was hoping to provoke a few people into thinking that maybe, just maybe, acts of savage brutality and hate can come from people of any colour, religion, or political leaning. I can see that hope was somewhat in vain. I was also hoping a few people might have followed a few of the links and thrown a few dollars/pounds/euros at the White Hats. I've give a few quid myself but they could always use more. The pissing people off is a guilty pleasure sometimes though, I have to be honest.
