What have they done to make you believe this?

That would certainly be cause for a stern look,(given their history)but common courtesy should preclude pre-judging their legislation/commands until presented and explained.

American politics, sport: the other lot are beyond the pale and should be rounded up and gassed. Nothing any of them might have to say is worth paying any attention to, because they have the wrong letter after their name.

Seems to be a good list here of the chemicals.

that site did not pass my security, oh well.

here is another, don't know if it is more or less listed than yours. (most of the chem is trade secret, but the ones they can identify...............bad gamboo)

All environmental regualtions were suspended for the frackers.

ALL. Look it up.

hmmm I find it interesting that people believe I am either in favor or against something that I submit facts on and the only opinion I express is my belief that the Administration will appeal. If you really want to know what I believe, then just ask.

The rule, released by the Interior Department in March of last year and scheduled to take effect this Friday, was designed to increase the safety of fracking. It would have required companies to comply with federal safety standards in the construction of fracking wells, and to disclose the use of some chemicals in the fracking process.

Looks this is a loss for everyone except the fracking companies.

WASHINGTON — A federal judge on Tuesday night struck down an Obama administration regulation on the use of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, for oil and gas on public lands, a blow to President Obama’s muscular stand on the extraction of fossil fuels on government lands.

The rule, released by the Interior Department in March of last year and scheduled to take effect this Friday, was designed to increase the safety of fracking. It would have required companies to comply with federal safety standards in the construction of fracking wells, and to disclose the use of some chemicals in the fracking process.

Judge Scott W. Skavdahl of Federal District Court in Wyoming ruled that the Interior Department lacked the authority from Congress to issue the regulation, and also noted that fracking was already subject to other regulations under state and federal law.

Administration overstepping authority seems to be a pattern. I have no doubt this will go forward to the 10th circuit. I think the District Court ruling will be upheld.
Fracking is not going away any time soon. American independence from Middle East oil is too important and - currently - profitable. There are also technological advances such as Plasma Pulse fracking which don't use chemicals. Once widely deployed the only remaining environmental issue would be the potential impact on geological stability.

Why do you think amerika seeks energy independence from m.e. oil?

.

Don't believe I ever said we should po.ute the water. Please quite making up stuff. It probably would have survived if the EPA issued the rulling. But it creates contrictions, I believe, when other agencies do it.

PPT is interesting. The couple articles I just read didn't mention starting a well with it, but in returning an old well back to production. Have to wonder if it can safely be used on a virgin well or not. But, that's just me and my limited research.

Because fighting wars in a shit-hole of a country just so you can fill up at the gas station is far less profitable than simply digging the stuff up out of your own back yard. Do you seriously need to ask this question?

Oh, wait - I forgot - you're a fucking moron.

Musicmystery -> RE: Fracking - Another Obama Loss (6/25/2016 10:28:30 AM)

Well, that's not necessarily true.

ME oil is readily available, and expanding US production means drilling in less accessible and less productive and financially rewarding locations.

That's one of the reasons we buy it. But we don't buy as much as people believe:

Even before the US export boom, in 2007, we imported only 16% of our crude oil and petroleum products from the Persian Gulf countries of Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. Our five biggest suppliers of crude oil and petroleum products were:

Canada (18.2%)
Mexico (11.4%)
Saudi Arabia (11.0%)
Venezuela (10.1%)
Nigeria (8.4%)

In 2015, that was:

Canada (40%)
Saudi Arabia (11%)
Venezuela (9%)
Mexico (8%)
Colombia (4%)

So...with the Keystone pipeline proposal -- we'd be dependent on oil from Canada, if anything.

WhoreMods -> RE: Fracking - Another Obama Loss (6/26/2016 12:17:43 PM)

America doesn't seek independence from middle eastern oil.
America has spent thirty odd years shifting from being a net exporter to a net importer to try to stop the Chinese and Russians buying up all the available oil being produced elsewhere. I think they used to call that stockpiling.

Musicmystery -> RE: Fracking - Another Obama Loss (6/26/2016 12:47:53 PM)

Well . . . no.

In total energy, the U.S. was over 70% self-sufficient in 2008. In May 2011, the country became a net exporter of refined petroleum products. As of 2014, the United States was the world's third-largest producer of crude oil, after Saudi Arabia and Russia. and second largest exporter of refined products, after Russia.
