I definately dont have a foot fetish. I have been a slave 12 years and yet to lick a foot. Now I have had to kiss a Masters or Mistresses feet but no licking. Feet do not do anything for me. Never had a Master/Mistress that had to have foot worship either.

If the One i was with wished his feet licked i would obey but it is not my first choice to do.  In fact yuck, maybe that is a punishment lol.  And i don't think the threads will die out and i do give you credit for some good questions but hon you really need to get some good books and read.  Much can be learned about this life that way and there are also many web sites that are good as well.  Then again perhaps your kink is having people make fun of or humiliate you.  Shakes head, to each their own.

For me it's a fetish that began when I was a boy. By the time I was 12 it was a great turn on for me to see a girl with pretty feet.  Now Ms Staci and I have frequent foot worship sessions spontaniously or planned such as after I give her a pedicure which I try to do at least weekly. She has beautiful feet and I have learned to give excellent pedicures.
 The foot fetishist is not always a submissive but in my case it is so. There are times when I'll kiss her foot to greet her, show respect etc like any other sub/slave. Other times the foot worship is the focus of what we're doing or it can be a prelude to other things:) Good question may, and a very common one.
I have learned to be more tolerant of those whose desires and fetishes are different than my own and  for whom English is a 2nd language.

I'm not into foot fetish.  But recently I had an opportunity to perform foot service.  This including massaging and bathing the feet, using a pumice stone to remove rough skin, and applying lotion.  I found this to be an enjoyable service to perform.  Feet need some lovin' too!

In general, foot fetishes are said to be one of the most common male fetishes, but not that common among women.

"Pure" foot fetishists would likely have absolutely nothing to do with BDSM. This would be a more accurate description of a foot fetish. They simply sexualize feet.

In BDSM, licking/kissing/sucking the feet of a dominant is more correctly called Foot Worship and yes, is usually a sign of respect of the dominant and is a way for the sub to show that they are putting themselves below the dominant.

It may also symbolize a sense of gratitude that "While I am not worthy to kiss your feet, Master/Mistress, I am grateful you allow me to do so."

Personally, most female subs I know do not like foot worship. I am one of them, but it's not a hard limit.

How many so-called inane questions do you feel the desire to answer with an inane question? 
 
maysubgirl-  foot worship is not necessarily about slavery, or even submission.  I do not think it is too common.  I love foot service. 
 
 It is strange to me that there seem to be so many here that disdain the practice.  Or maybe they just disdain you.  In any case, keep posting your "inane" questions.  Some folks have the common courtesy to answer in a helpful manner.

Many subs enjoy body worship of some sort.

Few people have actual fetishes.

Foot fetishes are very common, mostly among males.

I agree with katy, I'd hve no problem with giving massages or pedicures etc, but i have nooo desire to lick someones feet.  [:'(]

Heavens, what a stunning rebuke.  I feel cut to the depths of my marrow.

I think you'll find that people here are more than willing to answer posted questions when they aren't asked by insipid trolls solely looking for attention.  Such courtesy is reserved for those whom have shown they deserve it or haven't already abused that courtesy.
