ORIGINAL: Greta75 But if you send a picture that cover your boobs, and you can't get to the first interview, so 0% chance of getting the job. That's the point, getting to the interview first is the first important step to land a job. No, it is not 0%* chance. It may be significantly less of a chance, but the tricky thing about statistics is quantitative vs. qualitative, as well as unaccounted-for variables which cannot be measured. Want to bet these were primarily relatively low-paying, entry-level/trainee positions? Note there was a peek of cleavage shown, which gives the impression the applicant is HWP. These are fashion-figure-conscious Parisians. Want to bet that photos of pushed-up, ample boobage might have the reverse effect, especially with recruiters who are sensitive to keeping with the corporate culture (besides Hooters). quote:
* Among the 200 sales role applications, the low-cut dress submissions received 62 more interview offers than their counterparts. From the 200 accountancy applications there were 68 more interview offers for the more provocatively-dressed candidate. Don't most upwardly mobile people in the workforce know by now that the plum jobs go the way of cronyism, word of mouth through the grapevine, and trading favors? You scratch my back, and I'll scratch your back. That has been going on forever. When your boss gets promoted or makes a lateral move elsewhere, he or she will try to take the most trusted, loyal members of the team with him or her. There is no shame in riding on the coattails of successful opportunities. Recruiting outside of the organization is usually just for show, rarely to fill a position that isn't a crappy high-turnover position that nobody else wants. -- Lisa & Cub (Edited for typo)
