BAGHDAD — As celebrations for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan stretched past midnight into Sunday in central Baghdad, where Iraqis had gathered to eat, shop and just be together, a minivan packed with explosives blew up and killed at least 143 people — the third mass slaughter across three countries in less than a week.

Strangely I have not seen any translucent Iraqi flags on Facebook yet. I am hoping that at least a #hashtag has been created. It worked so well for #bringourgirls back.

What is it going to take before we (Western Civilization) actually DO something? I certainly hope the Iraqi's use reprisals. Goodness knows, those in charge of the US Military are too pansy-butted to do so.

As LeMay said, "If you kill enough of them, they stop fighting."

Edited to add. . .

May you rest in peace folks.

No need to, ISIS is on the run, ask Obama.

Why is this of any interest to amerika? Although you are free to strap on a rifle and join what ever group you think might be most effective in fighting those who have so offended you.

I certainly hope the Iraqi's use reprisals.

Against whom?

Goodness knows, those in charge of the US Military are too pansy-butted to do so.

Why do you think the military has any control over how they are used? Most any fifth grader knows that is the presidents job.

Fight to win.
Use reprisals.
Knock off the horrible ROE's the troops are working under.
The tactics the Spetsnaz used in Beirut when Russian diplomats were kidnapped.

In other words, kill enough of them that they stop fighting.

Oh yeah. America (and Western countries) can absorb a few more terrorist attacks.

How are we not "fighting to win" currently? What are the "horrible" rules of engagement that you would see changed, and changed to what?

What we should do, instead of talking about exiling Muslims from America and promoting Islamophobia, is to alert people to the fact that Muslims are every bit as much the victims of extremist groups like ISIS as we are, if not many times more so, in terms of numbers killed, and intensify our efforts to work together with moderate Muslims around the world to eradicate the various murderous pseudo-Islamic pathologies that were brought to life as the result of Bush's epically disastrous war in Iraq.

Note that the bulk of the terror attacks are perpetrated by muslims against muslims. I say that ISIS is not going to make any friends, and its about time Turkey and all the middle eastern countrys do their own fighting against ISIS. Its their problem more than ours.

We are watching Texas now, and deciding whether or not we should nuke those terrorists.

No, mainly because they hate us. And for good reason. The thing to do is stop fucking with them.

But it really is too late. Just get ready to kill two billion people. You are not going to make friends with them after all that has happened.

And about this minor incident, we should do nothing. Let them handle it.

Why wouldn't they ?

I corresponded with a Palestinian. At the time I was able and did offer to get him to the US. Said he wanted to move out of there and seemed like an alright dude. I actually did have the ability to get him here on a visa.

Turned me down flat.

And why not ? Come to a country whose taxpayers pay for the bullets the IDF uses to kill his friends and family members ?

I almost forgot all about him. But really, I bet alot of these refugees do not WANT to come here. We are the ones who wrecked their countries in the first place, and I would be suspicious of them. And they are not vetting properly, they got fingerprints on bombs to prove it. You can't vet them. They only way to vet the is to make them eat bacon to get in, meaning that they totally denounce Islam.

Unlike stupid fucking Christianity they do not universally forgive. (of course neither do the Christians but at least they do not pretend)

Ah, yes, those peaceful times before the War in Iraq when the Middle East and the US were practically bff's.

Oh, wait. Which Bush were you referring to? Are you talking about HW's Gulf War, or W's Invasion of Iraq, which was based, in part, on Iraq's non-compliance with the UN's cease-fire from the end of HW's Gulf War.

Yeah, it was Bush's fault.

I agree that it's not all Muslims that are the problem. I'm not sure I'd use the term "pseudo-Islamic pathologies" to describe the interpretations of Islam that the terrorists are basing their actions on.

A better question, how can anyone say we are fighting to win?
We fly less sorties in a month than we did in a day when we were trying to win.

Bush won in Irag, even Obama said so, then Obama threw it away.

How about accomodate, accomodate, accomodate, people like Chamberlain were the cause, not the solution.
