As I read the forums, then go to see the profiles of those who write and respond, so often I see "Profile not found." Others must also experience this. Do people post a comment o/r question and then disappear? What is this all about?

Many people have their profile hidden for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, the ancient age-old rickety software that runs on this site doesn't seem to be able to tell if the profile is hidden or actually missing/deleted.

As fd says, it could just be down to godawful software the site uses refusing to distinguish between hidden and deleted profiles.

Of course, the possibility you allude to is also quite possible: given how toxic and unpleasant the atmosphere in here can get, would you really be surprised if a few newbies did set up an account, make a couple of posts, look at the response they got and then thought: "fuck this, I'm off to that other place instead"?

Am I missing something here? If the profile had been deleted, most likely there wouldn't be a recent forum post from that person. So a new-ish post made by a "profile not found" person must have put their profile on hide.

The only exception I've seen are the socks who join today, post a bunch of crap, then delete that profile and make a new one the next (or same) day. A clue is the join date you see below their user name. Like mine, joined several years ago, posting from an unseeable profile.

I can't speak for everyone but, can say some I know and have talked to the the reasons can vary. Some profiles don't show likely due to software issues
after writing support a couple of times and not getting an response they figure why bother. Others may not be looking for anything and/or just participate in
the forums and/or stay in touch with friends. A couple other things, just don't want to bother with the useless drivel and harassment they the receive.
As far as the forums are concerned some don't wish to go or stay where the atmosphere is not conducive, the same could be said about the other side.

A lot of the scammers make profiles for a few days, delete it and make a new one. It's a constant cycle. So, they come on here as Dominant women trying to get some fish as part of their scam.

are you per chance logged on via VPN or tor?

I see so few people on this site and its a shame :(

Profile Not Found = hidden, save cases of alien abduction - take that whore mods that fooker is hidden so he makes me type his name out rather than copy and paste it...not easy when you are prone to word salad.

Lots of women have their profile on hide because they aren't looking for a partner and are tired of the guys writing them sexually explicit emails.

I can well understand women hiding. Who wants to be trolled 24/7. It makes you pretty paranoid.

Here is picture from the home security camera of a former CollarMe member. Those people disappear because of alien abductions.

One cannot delete a profile on Collarspace.

Try it, come back a week later, and login without any problem.

^ Okie dokie... another one for the ignore list. Not that I don't appreciate Shakespeare. But if you have nothing to say for yourself, spamming senseless poetry instead of talking about the topics just makes you annoying.

Stop logging into it and it will purge after closing. Logging in just resets the clock on deletion.

I'm on vacation for a couple of weeks, also nursing a code realizing reading some of this stuff today there seems to be a couple of trolls, like that sam person.

you are right staf too bad more people don't realize that if you stop logging in, they will eventually delete the profile.
