Greta75 -> Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 5:23:04 AM)

Should he be banned from twitter and was his comment really racist?

His actual comment was: If at first you don't succeed (because your work is terrible), play the victim. Everybody gets hate mail FFS.

I mean...., that comment is quite normally used like in my world anyway. And we say that to people of our same race ALL the time! Haha! So I never see it as racist.

Feels like people think it's racist just because she's black?

Milo got banned, ho hum
They have every right to.
Dont they?

Greta75 -> RE: Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 5:25:36 AM)

Every business can ban who-ever they want.
But is their decision just?

Lucylastic -> RE: Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 5:27:39 AM)

LMAO just?
depends on your definition of just.

Greta75 -> RE: Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 5:38:29 AM)

On twitter, there are like, "You fat pig, go kill yourself" or "I'm gonna come into your home and rape your entire family" type of abuse.

They should be worrying more about those!

Seriously, commenting about someone crying about the criticism, her movie is getting, is to me, not abuse.

I thought his message was basically saying, if first you don't succeed, don't cry about it, suck it up, try harder next time until you do. I didn't even feel his message was negative. It was just delivered in a harsh way. Instead of a kind way.

But hell, I know plenty of motivators who speak like that.

hehas violated their TOS often...Twitter does actually banquite a few people so heisnt the only one, he is just another #whinylittlebitch

Awareness -> RE: Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 11:22:28 AM)

Milo was banned because he's a loud conservative with a following. Twitter advocacy is essentially all that SJW's actually do these days, so its no surprise that Twitter has become just a bunch of leftist fuckwits talking amongst themselves.

I suspect the lack of a free speech platform is something of a gap in the social media market. Someone will fill it.

Twitter's stock price has been tanking for a reason.

Are you describing trump as a social justice warrior?
just askin

They get banned as well, if anybody notices and the staff can be arsed.

Are you saying black people deserve slavery?

Just askin.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 12:01:46 PM)

free speech is free speech

He has been banned temporarily several times, they are saying this is just a case of enough is enough. They gave him multiple chances, and he chose not to tone it down. Which was smart, because he would have lost followers anyway if he had toned it down.

Anyway, they got tired of banning him, letting him back on with a warning, then banning him again, letting him back on with a warning, then banning him.... etc.

He will find some other format to replace it.

And yes, Twitter bans people all the time, or removes their content for ToS violations, but they aren't as newsworthy as this guy so we don't read it about in the headlines.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 1:53:08 PM)

Wayward5oul did they ban all liars and sophists and attentions whores and those that prey on them and the simple folk?

Strangely enough, no. You can tell Milo to go kill himself and Twitter doesn't give a fuck. In fact, they allow Muslims to send Milo death threats and don't have a problem with that - but tell one black woman that everyone gets hate mail and all of a sudden it's a national tragedy.

When are people going to realise that the left stands for everything that America is against.

Aylee -> RE: Milo banned from Twitter for alleged "Racist Comments" (7/20/2016 2:16:40 PM)

The more Twitter's stock tumbles the more they rely on their Committee for Public Safety. Er. . . Trust and Safety Council. Or maybe it is the Ministry of Truth. Whatever though.

WD, I only saw this because Awareness quoted it, as I have stated before I have you on hide. But since I did see this, I'll answer it.

Frankly, I don't know but I seriously doubt that they ban everyone who crosses their ToS. I really don't care. I don't do Twitter. I barely do Facebook, and only because my mom yells at me for not keeping up with what all my family members put on there.

So I don't know exactly what people are getting away with on those sites.

What I do know is that you are proof that obvious wackos, liars, socks , etc regularly populate social media and run wild all over the boards posting nonsense, but manage to not get banned from one (as you should be from here) but do manage to get banned from others (as you were from Fet). This is not news to me.

Doesn't matter. That's just how the free market works, sadly. If they consider Milo is bad for business, he's out, and that is that.

So removing a gay man's voice on social media is good, but not baking cakes for gay people is bad.

I mean, do you even see the fucking bullshit that you write? Do you ever read it back and think that maybe you're just a tad fucking inconsistent and that your position doesn't even have a whiff of rationale behind it?

Unbelievable. What a moron. WHAT a fucking moron.

Stop being a drivelling twat, Awareness. And if you possibly can, stop barking at me about things that you don't understand, including the basics of either politics or economics, you great hyperinflated windbag.

That *is* how a privately-owned company in the free market works, and your bellyaching isn't going to change it. What I think is 'good' or 'bad' has nothing to do with it. I'm sorry that you don't like it that that is, in fact, how a private company in the free market works ... but there it is.

What's your solution? Government control, so that your darling Champions of the Right, like Milo, can be cossetted? Perhaps not, since that's not usually the favoured solution of frothing right wing berks, hmm?

The reason Milo got shoved was because he was an unpleasant little turd with views that made everybody want to go out and wipe their shoes on the kerb ... but, most of all, because Twitter didn't think he was good for business. If you don't like that, take it up with Twitter. You're not going to get far a) banging at me about my PC principles then b) banging at me about not using those same principles to defend you and people like you, old boy - seriously, now are you?

There are millions of people on twitter, facebook, etc.

Regardless of whatever ban, what is it about Milo that you think makes him more worthy than at least 100,000 other posters who say things ten times smarter than he does?

Oh right. I almost forgot who I was talking to here.

Bottom feeders seek bottom feeders.
