I've been listening to a few of the opening speakers (waiting on Bernie) and I am reminded of a joke that President Reagan told, 30-odd years ago about a republican, campaigning in a solidly Dumbocratic county (the joke was old, then so, there are some very rural references). I'll try to do it justice:

A city politician wants to move from city council to congress. The district he wants to represent is mostly rural so he "hits the campaign trail".

He's walking along in a very rural county and sits down on the side of the road to rest and wipe the sweat from his brow. Suddenly, a farmer comes up behind him and says: "What'ya doin' on my land?" The politician explains that he's running for office and that he was just resting.

The farmer, whose none to happy with the way things are going says that he'd like to help organize a rally, right on his farm for the new stranger. He invites the guy to wait a bit while he sends out the word.

People start showing up and the farmer says all is ready. He conducts the politician to the barn so he can "make am entrance". He mentions that people in his county always support a good democrat. The politician stops him and says: "I'm not a democrat".

The farmer says: "Hang on. let me go git ma. She's never heard a republican speak."

As the farmer finishes introducing the candidate, the candidate steps out to see there's a pile of horse shit behind the make-shift podium. He asks the farmer about it, in hushed tones and the farmer says it's the best he could do under the circumstances, but he's got a wry smile on his face that tells the candidate that it was intentional.

The candidate steels himself for the smell and steps up and delivers 45 minutes on why he deserves to be elected. When it's over, the farmer says: "Well, dayum! That's the first time I've ever heard a republican speak!"

The candidate says: "And that's the first time I've ever spoken from a democratic platform!"

Fixing the outcome of the primaries isn't political corruption?
Right, fixing elections is just business as usual, if you are from Chicago.

There is no actual evidence they fixed anything, they discussed ways to influence things, but from the tactics they discussed, I don't recall any of them actually being used. What's more, the nomination process is not an election.
And before you claim I am a Hillary supporter, I am not, I have been for Bernie from the get go, but the DNC was not responsible for his defeat.

You really need to do some research, what do you think about holding Sanders' paperwork till the deadline passed for the DC primary.
Don't you think that the law counts for primary ELECTIONS?
Did you miss the part about them helping organize "demonstrations" to disrupt Trump rallies? You don't think that is dirty politics?

Waiting for Bernie to give his speech next.
Is it just me, but have almost all the speeches so far, been very similar?
Different people repeating the same things?
A few times I felt like I was being lectured.
Let's see what Bernie has to say.
I pray it's something different.

I think he should rip Hillary a new one, but he won't.

So far so good, he is being very diplomatic.
He created a movement that will transform America.....---> one day.
Probably not in his lifetime----> but one day.
Until then, vote for Hill.

I thought Bernie gave a great speech.
But...

I LOVE the interviews with the Bernie supporters following his speech.
Many of Bernie's delegates appear to have their eye wide open.
Hummm

He participated in the DC primary.

No they do not, primaries are private party functions and so they make the rules, that's why some are closed and some are open. Federal and even state election laws simply do not apply to the primaries.

That's kind of their job.

Bernie gave a good speech, hitting all the points he campaigned on and how Clinton will work towards fulfilling them.

It is political corruption of [t]he worst sort.

The question I have now is what have they already (wrongly) done to influence the Presidential election? If they've been manipulating things all this time they sure wouldn't have stopped with just fixing the primary. They would have started moving pieces around the board a long time ago. Dare we hope that any other bullshit is discovered before November?

I think it's awful that people don't realize that the anti-Christ is only a "little bit" corrupt.

It's not like she'd stop at nothing to get the power and prestige that goes with being POTUS.

It's not like she doesn't have some morals and ethics (we've sent out a search party, but no communication, thus far).

It's not like she'd ever do something as drastic as destroying evidence of wrong-doing.

It's not like she lives her life in such a manner that her main thrust is to prevent people from knowing what she's doing.

She is a prime example of the democratic party; jack-asses, indeed.

It may, but the press will do their best to hide it.
And as you see here the koolaid drinkers will pretend it is trivial.

No, we say it is trivial, because it is, just like the whole Mrs Trump plagiarism thing - trivial and unimportant fake scxandal invented by the media.
