I've only watched the first couple of minutes, but did you see the look on "Glenn's" face when Jeffrey Dean Morgan walked out onto the stage acting like it was his show? Wow, that makes me believe Glenn is the one who got killed.

Lucylastic -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (7/26/2016 8:06:24 AM)

I missed that, I think I was drooling at Morgan far too long.

debydeb -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (7/26/2016 9:50:44 AM)

saw it and i dont think glen is going to be killed off...

my daughter she volunteered at the comic con booth for the walking dead (lucky girl) and she didnt get me a picture one...damn it

LadyPact -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (7/26/2016 9:59:24 AM)

Thank you for sharing the link. Yeah, saw Steven Yuen's face. I was thinking Jeffrey Dean Morgan's entrance was more of a gimmick? Play off of the cliffhanger, maybe? I mean, we know one of them is dead, so might as well bring that to the forefront on the panel.

Deb, not even one? Bummer. Definitely lucky on her part though.

Lucylastic -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (7/26/2016 10:21:58 AM)

The glitter prank was fun, I did see the prank Norman did on Andrew with the glitter in his truck, :)
Oh definitely a gimmick, but im looking forward to see him evilness ...oh and I have even more of a crush on Abraham than before:)
Debydeb, Im so jealous.

I can't believe Walking Dead never interested me until Season 4. Zombies? No thanks! [:'(]
My husband and Mother have been fans since Day 1, and talk about it every chance they get, so I was persuaded to check it out. I'm all caught up thanks to Netflix, and have even binge watched each episode a few times! Love the link you provided to Comic Con, Lucy, which lead me to an even better collection of videos, like this funny compilation of Norman Reedus.

Was that a typo or do I have to beat you mercilessly until you take me with you next year?

LOL.....that was a typo. I have always wanted to go, just never seem to find the time

Edited to ad:
It could also be my tablet's auto correct which just happens to be worse than my actual typing.

I love the vids from comic con, there are SO many I have watched from shows I like, supernatural, GOT, WD, Outlander, Dr Who etc etc:)
just puttingit out there, but does anyone ever watch reaction videos from any of their shows?

WickedsDesire -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (7/31/2016 6:46:45 AM)

I watch too much tv..to pass time eternal. Walking dead, as well as breaking bad, were two shows I could not get into despite their excellent reviews

jlf1961 -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (7/31/2016 9:15:33 AM)

Once more, I have to question the fear factor of Zombies in general.

The reasons are simple:

1) Zombies are animated corpses, which rot, which means that, unless there is an ice age, the Zombies will, within a few days, fall apart due to the rotting skin no longer being able to keep the limbs attached.

2) A grandmother in a standard motorize scooter can out run the damn things.

3) Brains lack any nutritional value as a food source.

4) the known street drug that induces the behavior also has the unfortunate side effect of raising the body temperature of the user to the point that, after a couple of hours under the adverse effects, the poor user will usually suffer a stroke, most of the time, a fatal one.

5) In every Zombie movie I have every watched, the unaffected survivors of the plague/event always try to seek refuge in some structure that they cannot escape from if necessary but the Zombies can get in with little problem.

>>>This goes back to the classic horror movies where the woman sees the monster coming toward the house, runs inside, up the stairs and into a room with no other exit short of jumping out a window.

LadyPact -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (8/4/2016 6:52:09 PM)

"The Walking Dead" is my guilty pleasure. I know you hate the fact that "AMC" (America Movie Classics) produces tv shows, but some of them are pretty good.

So, just for fun...

Nah. One word for ya. Ligaments. Check out this nasty, little thing called "degloving" It's basically any action where all of the skin is ripped off of the finger or the entire hand. Skin's gone, but the fingers still move. (It's really kind of gross. Don't look it up unless you have a strong stomach.)

2) A grandmother in a standard motorize scooter can out run the damn things.

This is a point of contention for all zombie fans. Speed of the undead varies depending on what you watch. Even on TWD, depending on the season, some walkers move faster than others.

3) Brains lack any nutritional value as a food source.

Sorry, but the brain is fat but works with protein, or at least, the way it communicates with the body is about protein. The brain itself is primarily fat and water, but without protein (and our electro-pulses) the brain could never send our bodies messages to move.

According to TWD lore, the TS19 episode in particular, it's not the bites that make us sick. It's some kind of blood born pathogen that we already have. That's why everybody turns. Doesn't matter how you die. It's in all of us.

Most people don't think about that stuff. Doesn't take zombies to do it.

jlf1961 -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (8/5/2016 4:38:31 AM)

LadyP, there is one point that still remains:

The things are dead, dead flesh rots, INCLUDING ligaments.

Also dead bodies have tendency to bloat, due to the gases inside, sometimes these gases kind of "pop" the flesh containing them, then all kinds of internal things fall out, like intestines, so the zombies would end up tripping over their own guts.

Lucylastic -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (8/5/2016 4:47:17 AM)

intestines rot pretty quickly

LadyPact -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (8/7/2016 5:53:43 AM)

Yeah, the show is pretty big on intestines.

Jeff, I don't have a good reply for that one.

I will say that, even with my huge appreciation for the special effects crew on the show, some of them are gross enough for me to be saying 'ewwwww'. Speaking of bloating, there was one from season two that fans have nicknamed 'walker in the well'. It had bloated from being in the water for so long and was completely disgusting when they pulled him out and he snapped in half. Gore fans would love it.

jlf1961 -> RE: Walking Dead ...Comic Con (8/7/2016 10:24:27 AM)

Okay, on that note, once the intestines rot in the walking corpse, there is no way to process nutrients from eating brains and thus, they would die of malnutrition and starvation.

One more stake in the heart of the "Zombies" are a viable threat to non-zombies over the long term.
