freedomdwarf1 -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (7/29/2016 12:47:55 PM)

FR~

The problem with this particular OP is that she's done this several times on CS already.
I have already told her more than twice in cmail that she needs to take this stuff to the police.
We have specialist police units that deal with cyber crime and internet harassment.
But, apparently, she has done little or nothing since her first foray into appealing for 'help' on this conundrum except to re-post an appeal for info with even more pics of herself.

So it begs the question whether it's the genuine OP with the problem or the doppelganger stirring more shit.
Given that this is the third (or fourth?) time the OP has done this but not wanting to do anything but re-run it, is she no more than a Drama Queen, or possibly a histrionic depressive narcissist??

I have to ask, because her actions don't make sense to me other than for self-attention.

I get that it is some people's kink. More power to them.

And I get that if you have pics of yourself up on the internet, you can't control what people do with them. If they want to wank off to it, they can.

But if someone, especially someone that I don't even know, does that with my pic and then sends it to me. I would not hesitate to let them know how I felt about it.

A person can't control what they like. But they can control what they do about it outside of themselves.

Believe it or not, there's a Fet group dedicated to the practice.

Yeah. And I've seen women gush over pics they get of men tributing to them. And videos. Not my thing.

The OP's profile is new. This is the only thread attributed to her profile. Has she been posting under another that you know is hers?

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (7/29/2016 12:54:36 PM)

Yes, she has posted under several names on here with exactly the same thing and new pics of herself - usually in very skimpy clinging dresses of various colours and obviously little to nothing on underneath.

ETA: it's usually some variant of Ros Owen.
The one I replied to recently didn't have the 78 on the end of it.

I'm getting sick of his version of verified. I'm sitting behind my keyboard, took a cat nap in my chair woke up when I started coughing, I'm verified!

I'm beginning to think he made a date online to meet up with what he thought was a chick and he found out it was a guy hot for his bod, so now he's obsessed with verifying every freakin' female he sees online.

happens to the best of us, happened to me, I poured his timmy's iced coffee on his head told him off and walked out, I didn't go around online telling every female to verify themselves to me.

Here's the thing: I don't give a shit if people think I'm real, fake or anything in between. This isn't about them, it's about me enjoying the forums.

LilJuly76 -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (7/29/2016 1:18:37 PM)

you are right. I guess this cold's getting to me so I'm letting WD annoy me, I like to talk about kinky and BDSM stuff here to.

Unfortunately, for something like this, the priority is low unless the pic has been added to "public" areas of any site by the offender. Unless the guy is putting up pics without her consent, she can't use copyright laws to protect her. Sending *her* the pic privately, might not reach that bar.

RosOwen78 -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (7/29/2016 2:05:22 PM)

Yes i have posted up on collarspace a couple of times before for all of like a few hours each time before getting cold feet about the whole thing, this time im more determined to either find out anything of use to me or at least show everyone that this is the REAL me & not some sad grubby fat old man pretending to be me!
Hence why i posted up the proof pic so anyone else posting up without one will obvs be a FAKE.
& yes i have reported this before & lets just say they just seemed disinterested in the whole situation.
No ones is allowed to use my pics or my details to post me all over grubby sex sites without my permission, permission they dont have.

Can I give you a piece of advice? Don't go there. We've already got a couple of idiots on the site who keep trying to get women to "verify" themselves or they harass and threaten them. If this is an actual problem for you, why would you want other people to land in the same boat?

If pics of you are being posted to sites without your permission, you want to look for something called the site's DMCA policy. You can find it on this site under the "Help" section.

From what I understand, LP, her pics are scattered elsewhere all over the 'net, not so much on CS.

My question is, if it were happening for real and she were that miffed or concerned by it, she could report any profile on here to support and report it to the police - they will certainly deal with it.
When I've written to her before (assuming the OP is the original and also a female), the reply I've had is that they aren't bothered with it and support will do nothing - which I sincerely don't believe tbh.

Typical example, I wrote her again recently when she had a profile (without the '78' on the end) and she obviously remembered who I was and promptly did the 'deleted unread' trick.
Her recent reincarnation for the forums, she added '78' to her old profile name that she had previously. She has used several profile names and done the self-same thing and often added newer (and similar) pics with very similar 'plea' tactics.
Hence the question if this is the real OP or the clone.

Yanno what? I seriously thought at one point it might be a crumpets or WD sock; but the writing style is somewhat different.

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (7/29/2016 2:27:29 PM)

Are you sooo naive to think that pics are your sole domain??
The moment you post anything on the 'net makes it public fodder for consumption.

As for your notion "Hence why i posted up the proof pic so anyone else posting up without one will obvs be a FAKE" is laughable.
You already know they stole your pics - so you post another one (a 'proof' pic).
So you posted proof for someone to steal and prove that you are the fake one. [:D]
Did you not think they'd steal that one as well??????
I just don't believe the gullability (or stupidness) of doing such a thing.

I don't think this is C's style. He has several female socks, according to him, but I don't see him making posts like this.

As far as WD, I question that he can string sentences together mimicking a mentally healthy person. I wouldn't put it past him, but the longer it goes on the more I doubt.

The OP needs to quit posting pics or shut up.

angelikaJ -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (7/29/2016 2:59:17 PM)

I am not sure why you feel the need to try to prove you are real.
men demanding that women verify themselves is nothing more than a scam to get a member to cam nude for them... in other words give them a free show.

Just block and delete anyone who asks for verification.

Understood. A bit familiar with the topic. Got the t-shirt.

In my experience, that's not correct. Some of it very much depends on the site and how reputable the site is to begin with. "Support" on this site, for example, hasn't always been... Shall we say, prompt, in dealing with such matters.

quote:

I'm the first one to tell you that it depends on who "Support" is.

Two sites, I had great success with. Those being Fet and the former K-2. In that same time frame, would I have even bothered on this site? No. (We all know who was running the site and was "Support" at the time.)

While DMCA reports can help an individual to get pics removed, there's something very important that people need to understand. If you file one, you have to accept two things: One, that report is considered a legal document and the person you filed it against has every right to the information on it. That includes your real name, your address, or any other part of the report. Basically, if you have a real life stalker, you just handed that person the key of how to find you.

Two, if the Admin of the site has not signed a legally binding non-disclosure agreement, there is nothing saying said-Admin of the site will not share your information. If they do, they are covered by those neat, FCC 230 laws. Look at ToS of this site and those neat passages that say "any agent of THE SITE" will not be held liable.

quote:

I would ask you not to jump to conclusions...

It doesn't mean she remembered you. It means (if it's real) she's dealing with a bunch of people that she actually knows, and won't entertain random folks dropping by her email. It doesn't mean the person doing this to her hasn't created screen name after screen name, changing one character, so at first glance, it might be misinterpreted as someone else.

Oddly enough, I'm with you.

I can promise you that, for a time, I *wished* MP could work with Admin instead of me. The problem is, as soon as you do that, *any* third party can, and we complicate the matter.

I have very little patience left for WD. The tactics are abhorrent. FFS, even this site warns against those ploys of "prove you are real" in the Help section.

LilJuly76 -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (7/29/2016 3:21:22 PM)

good grief he's an online female stalker both Dominants and submissives. I know he has no clue what BDSM is but this is just nuts.

No it doesn't, if someone doesn't have my permission to use photos of me or even my personal details then they're breaking the law.
The same thing applies to the sick assholes who are telling me I deserve to be beaten up & raped for being a "slut" (which I'm not)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning what's happening - it's sick.

However, by posting on websites usually means you have signed away your exclusive rights for that website to do with them as they please.

And also, it is really easy to steal pics - whether you give permission or not.
Until someone invents a way to stop stealing them, you have to assume they are going to be stolen - either for personal perusal or used in some nefarious way.

The problem is caused by international boundaries and the lack of cooperation between nations to collaborate.
For instance, take this website: there are reams of paragraphs in the ToS about you (the member) indemnifying them against any illegal action taken by other members or anyone from outside the site. So, in essence, even if you were a US citizen (and this is a US registered site governed by US laws), you don't really have a legal leg to stand on to do anything much about it and you sure as fuck have not a snowball's chance outside of the US.

As is always stated by many many people all over the 'net - don't post anything that you might not want to be seen by anyone you don't approve of.
To be soo naive to think or assume that just because you haven't given permission to use your pics means that everyone will abide by that is just unbelievably stupid.
And what makes matters worse, even after being told about it several times, you still go and post a "proof" pic. Are you really such a feeble-minded dullard to think that a proof pic would make any difference whatsoever?

Yes, they maybe breaking the letter of the law. What are you going to do about it??
How are you going to enforce such a law even if you managed to find who did it?

My neighbours 6yo kids have a better understanding of the interwebz than you do.
Not only are you extremely naive, but have willfully ignored advice.
For someone of your age, I would have thought you'd have learnt something by now.

Mistakes I can understand; willful stupidity just takes the biscuit.

As I said in my cmail to you before and others have posted on here - TAKE IT TO THE POLICE!!

ResidentSadist -> RE: Asking for help with being slut shamed online (8/1/2016 7:56:18 AM)

^ Putting something on the net or giving pics to a stranger online is like leaving it out on a downtown New York sidewalk. Everyone is going to see it and anyone can take it.

"The only new photo I had posted up was my "proof photo" so everyone could see I am real & not one of these fucking fakes causing shit for me."

I though "proof" photos are supposed to have you holding a message up with your screen name in it? The linked photo is no kind of proof. Seem like she is doing a lot of things the wrong way.
