ORIGINAL: kdsub If referring to this indecent you may want to read the link... unless the information changes the shooters, or at least one, was Hispanic not black. Unless it's a white dude who shot the police, I still look at BLM, because I saw an interview by Colbert with the BLM leader, and Colbert ask him that doesn't he think he has some responsibility to tell his supporters not to harm the police, to always stick to peaceful way of protesting, and he said, he disagree that is his responsibility, whatever his BLM supporters does is not his problem. And BLM supporters are not solely black people. But BLM has made rogue police shootings into a race war. Hispanic population are just second to blacks in jail population isn't it? Actually the BLM leader does need to step up and say cop killing are unacceptable! And this is not the BLM way! But he doesn't step up. Conflating police shootings with BLM protests is a false narrative. An officer being shot has nothing to do with Black Lives Matter. An officer being shot MAY have something to do with the appalling treatment of black citizens by police officers. Have the various Chiefs of Police stepped up and told everyone that officers shooting unarmed suspects is unacceptable? Has justice been done in the Michael Brown case? In the Freddie Gray case? In the Sandra Bland case? In the Eric Garner case? Each of these cases has proceeded without justice. And nobody from law enforcement has stepped up to say "Police officers murdering citizens is wrong." - so expecting a representative from BLM to say "Killing police officers is wrong" is stupid and one-sided. BLM does not advocate the murder of police officers. However if law enforcement thinks that an armed citizenry is going to continue to tolerate state-sanctioned murder by individual police officers, they are delusional. What I think is incredibly ironic, is that situations like this are EXACTLY why all these nutty second amendment types claim they need a weapon. To defend themselves from a corrupt government. What could be more corrupt than law enforcement given free reign to murder anyone they choose? quote:
And Obama is conflicted. He feels his loyalty to BLM, but then police are getting gun down. He needs to choose the police side, and tell the angry black people very firmly that, heavy justice will be melted out to rogue officers, do not take justice into their own hands. And then he needs to follow up on it, and go after all the rogue officers hard! I don't know what are his Presidential powers on such things. But in terms of my country, the PM can really go after them. It would be serious shit hit the fan and the rogue officers will be severely punished. Your country is not democratic, it is totalitarian. The President doesn't have that kind of power. Yes the police do say that when a civilian is murdered by a cop it is wrong, and they prosecute. So no it isn't wrong to say BLM should condem these killings. BLM says they want to cut down on the violence but remain silent when officers protecting them are murdered? That is not the path to peace.
