And I was ready to post the thread...while on break from my MMORPG.
Mom is having a heart cauterization done on the 9th. She does have some blockage on the right side and the doctors think that is what is making her so tired. So anyone who is into prayers and/or healing thoughts, we would appreciate it.
Well...I am a mother-in-law now. I was chatting with Lizard's bf and I started drilling him about how long they lived together and if they signed any documents together (nosy momma, I know, but there's a method to my madness). Found out that they did sign up for a bank account together and have been holding themselves out as a couple for years. In Texas, that can be considered a common law marriage (especially if you file taxes together). Lizard has been trying on her own to get government assistance so she can get treatment for her mood disorder. When I told Tratra that they were considered married, he nearly shitted a brick house (I love family law...keep my finger in the 'pot' so I can help my family out). Now he is updating EVERYTHING, applying for school financial aid, his SNAP benefits and trying to get MAP (medical access program, I used to be on it years ago before working for the State) in the Austin area. When the MAP comes through, Lizard will go to the MHMR and have them DX her as having a mood disorder (bipolar does run in my family, I am just the one who actually is receiving treatment). Plans for a formal wedding is in the works, I just need to find an Astatru priest or priestess to show me the ropes for conducting the ceremony. Anyone speak Icelandic?
Should be getting my dentures next week. They had to do new impressions on the lower denture because the one they made was too small! I really hate the gunk they use to get the impression made (spitting it out so I won't swallow it).
