If Obama is now a verb, the meaning isn't clear from the context.

Some states make you declare your party to vote in the primaries.

This is not surprising though. In 2012 voter turnout was only a bit over 50 % of those eligible. Seriously, no USian has any right to question the validity of elections in other countries.

The primaries are even worse, look who they trot out. Now I am not the only one speculating that the republicans don't want to win because they know math. They know there is going to be a collapse, which of course they helped cause.

Trump might surprise everyone because of Clinton's unpopularity quotient. But a mayor of NYC obviously doesn't know any more than the first three words of the Constitution and also thinks "We the People" means government, not everyone. And any Bush, people still have a bad taste in their mouth after the last one. What else was there, governor of Florida ? The assholes do not care the Ron Paul could have won, he was not one of them. The democrats don't care that someone like Alan Grayson could have won, but he is kinda on the fringe, grilling the fed like that. The footage of that could have swayed enough true conservatives to give him a decent chance. Support him and show people they are no longer the party of those who throw your tax dollars around like they're water.

Both parties are getting too big for their britches. They aren't really morons but they are stupid enough to think they can run things.. Like car manufacturers, you WILL buy whatever they make. Or nothing. And they supported the regulations that prevent competition from anyone but the deepest of pockets. I mean, do you REALLY want to buy a car that runs Windows software ? Dumb son of a bitch probably get hit with a virus and run itself into a tree. (arborday.exe LOL) But you have no choice. Or buy used.

But I digress, even though business has more power in this country than the government. Government doesn't have the balls to tax them properly. They can threaten to move out, I would tell them then get the fuck out anyway. You want access to this market you pay our taxes. You want to move, we will be slapping a stiff tariff on your products. You will be technically paying more, because ALL your money comes from the customer. Now would you like to stay and pay but get the deductions ?

But this is all about imports. Like people, companies should have to pay on everything they make overseas. People are renouncing their citizenship over that shit. If they give taxes as the reason they are personna non-grata. So alright you motherfuckers sued to be considered people, now obey the laws that other people have to obey Do realize though, for example Ford has plants in Europe. However the cars the build there are for the European market and sold in the European market. If they were a flesh and blood person they would have to pay US taxes on ALL of that as well as what they sold here. Just the IRS' reporting requirements make it difficult for US Citizen to get bank accounts in other countries. I mean where they live.

And these republicans with this "revenue neutral" bullshit, how do they get elected ? Day will come when there are not enough rich people to elect them dog catcher. And the democrats, day will come when people can't afford a bus ticket to get to the polls. They are both wrecking the place and I see no solution.

It really doesn't matter who is President, all the same things are going to happen, it is just a matter of when and in what order.

T^T

Might be a new addition to the "whip" and "nay nay" (or however it's spelled).

Instead of going with the same old mistake (how many years have we voted lesser evils now without it ever helping?), go Libertarian or Green Party instead of to Slaughter again. I'm voting Jill Stein. Please consider joining us.

We can't keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

I have been thinking about it. Funny that the left keeps harping on how great it is to have a female running for pres but never mentions this one.

Every damned general election here in the UK we're faced with the same old (lack of) choice. When you think of how much has changed since our respective electoral systems were established - world wars, the space age, the computer age ... every bloody system we use has been changed radically ... except our electoral systems. In the UK, as I think in the USA, the result has been so much of a narrowing towards the centre that, both on the left and on the right, there have been big breaks from that 'centrist consensus'. Eventually, if not at the next election (general here or Presidential there), something is going to break. It seems to me that we need to manage that break rather than keep on trying to suppress it.

I do have trouble with Stein, and her vaxxer stuff, a couple of other things, but yes, Id vote for the green party. well I have a few times, but im talking IF i had a vote in the US.
Maybe not this election with trump running, but that is only "my" choice, others have their choice. I would have voted for Bernie in a heartbeat.

I believe our country is ripe for a CHANGE in party…but not a third party. If the Libertarian or Green Party was attractive to the average voter the change would have happened already. The Tea party will not stand as a third party either…but it has changed the Republican Party. The battle is on between old and new and the outcome is not clear…but the Republican party will be changed forever no matter who wins.

I don’t like the new Republican party and who they have chosen to represent them... But… all of us must face reality… he was chosen and represents a good portion of American voters and they will vote for him.

With the advent of mass communication and the free exchange of ideas our world is changing faster than it ever has in history. We, the US, are not immune to this change. Many people fear the loss of their way of life and are rebelling and the change in the Republican party reflects this.

Change, for the better, will come but don’t be surprised if it takes longer than you think. Even if Trump loses… the battle will continue for a few more generations… but not without pain.

Butch

I think she was why Mick Farren left the country as well.
