I agree with some and disagree with others and wonder how they are going to pay for others.

Very long read.

Some of the many things that I gleened from it was

Total elimination of punishment of junivules - Disagree

Free education - agree

Elimination of private education - disagree

Taxes including sales based upon income - disagree

Elimination of tax credits for medical - disagree

Total elimination of drug crime (including quantity/type) - Uh no

Elimination of sex trafficing law - Yes/No I dono't think we should sell anyone but agree with elimination of prostitution laws within limits (they want the street walkers to be able to walk in any neighborhood/location (which included our schools and churches)

There are more I agree/disagree/undecided about.

What say you?

You forgot to mention, or left out where they want reparations for slavery. Disagree.

At first glance. Damn if they wanted free education, they should've voted for Bernie! Like seriously!
quote:

Cover all living costs, including but not limited to housing, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and food for students attending public universities, colleges, and technical educational programs (including technology, trade, and agricultural).

Wow, they are asking for the world! As an Asian where it's our culture where it's the job of our parents to pay for all that! I mean, Asian parents financial planning once they have a child is start an education fund. I look at this and like WTF? The government job is to take care of your kid's education for you?
quote:

Federal and state job programs that specifically target the most economically marginalized Black people, and compensation for those involved in the care economy. Job programs must provide a living wage and encourage support for local workers centers, unions, and Black-owned businesses which are accountable to the community.

Wow clearly they do not want equality. They want to be special and given preferential treatment.
quote:

An end to the Trans-Pacific Partnership and a renegotiation of all trade agreements to prioritize the interests of workers and communities.

Trump's their man if they want this!
quote:

Black youth are also more likely to experience higher rates of corporal punishment.

This makes me laugh. They cannot beat us on that record! We have the highest rate of corporal punishment I think!
quote:

There is mounting research that children under the age of 23 do not have fully-developed brains and that the cheapest, most humane, and most cost-effective way to respond to juvenile crime is not incarceration, but programs and investments that strengthen families, increase stability and provide access to educational and employment opportunities. Prosecuting youth with crimes is not only cruel; but it also permanently disadvantages them with a criminal record, which makes completing their education, getting a job, finding housing and growing up to be contributing members of society unfairly difficult.

This sounds like the most sensible plan they have written so far.
quote:

The retroactive decriminalization, immediate release and record expungement of all drug related offenses and prostitution

Worst idea ever! It's interesting BLM wants to fight for legalisation of prostitution. But that's not what I have a problem with. The real problem is drugs. Drugs are addictive period, and anything addictive, that makes people lose control of themselves, the best solution is to keep it away from their reach. If ya love your people, you wanna keep drugs away from them and definitely hang anybody who is selling drugs. We totally put to death any drug dealers, and they deserve to die in my opinion for peddling something addictive and harmful to human beings. As do drug dealers really care about improving conditions in the human race?

With prostitution though, they should do what France do. Legal to be a prostitute, but prosecute the ones who uses the services of a prostitute. Problem solved. Prostitutes protected. Don't punish the prostitutes! This way, if there is trafficking, the trafficked women have nothing to fear and they can totally report the men who used their services without fear. I tell ya, if there is no protection for people who use prostitution services, this means, it will naturally go down, prostitution will no longer be a lucrative career, it will naturally reduce prostitution.
quote:

Real, meaningful, and equitable universal health care that guarantees: proximity to nearby comprehensive health centers, culturally competent services for all people, specific services for queer, gender nonconforming, and trans people, full bodily autonomy, full reproductive services, mental health services, paid parental leave, and comprehensive quality child and elder care.

Yup, I am for universal healthcare if the country can have it and not sink further in debt.

Overall, I feel like BLM should have gone behind Bernie. Bernie is probably the only guy who would support all their ideas.

Everyone gets free education right now through high school. The problem is many choose not to take advantage of it. The black dropout rate in Milwaukee is nearly 50%.

According to this BLM article, they were expelled and did not drop out.

Actually if Black people still have a good segment who live in bad neighbourhoods and come from bad families. What they seriously need is to be sent to military style boarding school. Have a more regimental education and life. Keeps them away from drugs, and gangs for a start. I tell ya, there is something about hating authority together and getting punished together all the time, that bonds you and your mates for life! And through that kind of friendship, you also get a form of extended family. What they need is a good family who will always have their backs and be there for them and feel like someone give a shit about them. They can be that to each other. It will change their life.

So leaving them in would lead to a situation where learning would be impossible.

The word "free" is inaccurate. it should be replaced with "taxpayer-subsidized." Much of what they want is an open checkbook to other people's money. I do agree with some of the reforms to the criminal code, but it is all overshadowed by their open and unapologetic prejudice.

I think I've hit my limit with BLM. And that's unfortunate really, because I do see where racism still exists, I do worry about how the police are being trained and why it seems like some blacks are being targeted for no reason. But I find this whole thing to be nothing but another attempt at "no justice, no peace" extortion and opportunity for blacks to avoid responsibility for the condition of their own communities and the negative impacts of the cultural choices some of them have made.

I pretty much agree with you Johnny. At one point in my life I worked for a store fixture company. The management personnnel told us that one of the major factors for the major chains not building in some neighborhoods is because of fears (based upon what had happened in the past in their area) that their property would be looted and burned during civil striff.

I also don't see communities taking resonsibility for their own areas. I have seen stripped and abandoned vehicles parked along side the road (don't know why the municipality didn't remove them) and trash and litter everywhere. When I worked for one municipality, there was a gunfight (between blacks and hispanic gangs) where one side jumped on a moving garbage truck and drove away shooting as they went. The driver drove straight to PD, but the shooters had jumped off. It took almost 2 months before that neighborhood had garbage service because no driver wanted to go there without a police escort and the union said it would strike if the city forced someone to do it unescorted.

When I was stationed in Africa, the locals (back in the mid 60's) said they were ashambed of the blacks in America because they were burning down their own neighborhoods. I never understood that either. My sons are first generation African/American. One is retired (medically with 100% disability) from the Army and the other is a journeyman electrician. They don't understand the burn it down you owe me mentality.

I am for and personally demand that all races are treated equally period. I am also for our police to address crime wherever it leads them. I am very much for African American groups that are watchdogs for racism and to work with their local politicians and police to get control of crime in their neighborhoods.

I am for better education.... for all... the rest is bullshit.
