Actually it doesn't. All one need do to be a Christian is accept Yeshua bar Yusef as the messiah. That's it that's all.

You're not actually required to do anything he suggested, then? I thought that was more the Catholic line than anything Biblical.

Trump suffers from both an inability to plan and a complete lack of emotional self-regulation.

Consequently, he's scaring the shit out of establishment Republicans who suddenly realise his ego isn't capable of abandoning issues which are dragging his popularity down.

Much as I loathe Hillary, if Trump keeps this up, there's a real chance for a Democractic majority in the House and Senate. Frankly, after years of Republican obstructionism, the prospect of seeing Congress actually act like the fucking legislative branch they're supposed to be is the silver lining to Trump's candidacy. His self-destruction may actually enable the country to move forward again.

You don't think faith without works is dead?

Discussions about who's a Christian always bring to mind a favorite quote from a favorite book:

"Do you consider yourself a Christian?" [the interviewer] asked.
I sighed and said, "My problem with that is that so many people who publicly
identify themselves as Christians are such jerks about it."
The woman laughed, as did the people in the sound booth behind her. . . .

I said I often wondered if being a Christian was something we could, or should, claim for ourselves;
that if being a Christian meant incarnating the love of Christ in my own life,
then maybe it would be best to let others tell me how well, or how badly, I'm doing.

Of course not! Jesus forgives all Sins! As long as later before you die, you ask for forgiveness, everything will be fine.

I learn this from Methodist Christianity haha.
