Status: offline 		People seem to miss the fact that back in 1990, or whenever it was that they were new, boards like this didn't exist and thus people were forced to seek information and answers elsewhere. The purists among you clearly view that as correct/appropriate/better. The internet is how youngsters find information these days. Like it or not. I can be as grumpy as the next thirtysomething and bemoan the fact that young people no longer seem able to write in proper English, but an alternative perspective is that English is changing.

Can't stop progress...

Nobody is being forced to engage with the OP: if you don't want to answer the question, then just don't. Simplez. But I really think the pouring on of scorn and attribution of various nefarious motives is beneath some of you. A lot of you have a long history, that is blindingly obvious to all who read these pages. Good for you. But it is also blindingly obvious that anyone who isn't in your clique, or doesn't know as much as you isn't welcome, and is setting themselves up.

My 'scene of the day' is now to don flame-proof suit, tinfoil hat and wait in the corner for the incoming...

Why? You've already made up your mind.

There's a flaw in your logic. All of us with the 'more than' 10K posts, were new to the boards at one time or another. We contributed. We researched. We gave input.

I could start a new screen name tomorrow, (not that I would, I'm saying "could") and put intelligent, kink-related commentary on the board, and it would do ok. Not because I'm part of some "clique," which I find to be a weak argument, anyway.
