My profile has been very clear right from the outset 'I'm here for the forums ONLY'. That appeared to not be enough, so I expanded on that and explained that I had a playmate, but still wasn't enough. I said that no matter how you spun it I was not going to engage in giving out personal info, and actually I found it rather insulting that they still insisted in contacting me, so the answer was still NO, Still not enough. I said that the fact that you'd have the shear arrogance to assume you were that amazing when I've already said no, and ignore my wishes at this stage is going to be an automatic no, so don't bother, but it's still not enough.

Then today I get a guy having a complete bitch fit at me telling me I have the worst profile on the internet because it's so negative. How very dare I? What am I even doing here? Well he's going to tell me don't you know! "Youre only on here so you can feel good about your shit life by saying no to people which you couldnt possibly do in real life as guys can actually see what you look like.Please piss off will you?". Aaaawwwww

I think my profile prickled his over massive ego. However, he's never had the experience of going anywhere with me to know what it's actually like. My ex actually had to put up with men following us around whilst we did our shopping, and when on nights out with friends have other men come up and ask me to dance, or go to other places with them. My ex playmate used to get really pissed off at the fact that he'd be by my side, but that men ignored this fact. So no little man I have no issues getting men in real life at all, and no, I shall not piss off either.

I think it safe to say that no, I do not expect people to email me if they look at my profile. I do get some very lovely messages at times from guys that visit in here, not just those using the other side, ladies too, and I always mail back with my thanks.

If I check out a profile it's either because it's someone on this side, or it's a total accident on the other side. I am awake at all stupid o'clock times with nothing to do, so hiding 'argh!' profiles on the other side can waste many a moment, and mistakes happen.

This was the reply when I asked them to tell me about three things in my profile other than ethnicity, age and orientation:

People overthink this shit. There's no protocol around it, nor should there be. People who view my profile are quaintly irrelevant. It's an amusement, not a social interaction.

No. Pompous, self-important people overthink this sh^t. That, and it goes to show that they really don't get a lot of profile views. Nobody who has ever gotten thousands upon thousands of profile views, year after year, would even contemplate sending emails to all of those people.

Oh, may be we all missed the introduction class on the etiquette for the other side, and the secret hand shake for those on the inside that get to tell the rest of us what to do. How wonderful to be up in those heady clouds. Although I think they are confusing them for the noxious gasses of their own backsides!

Question for Spiritedsub2, if you could confirm this in your experience. If your profile is hidden, then you will not appear on viewing lists until such time that you decide to unhide your profile, is that right?

Yes Lisa, that's been my experience. So putting my profile on hide isn't for the purpose of viewing profiles without being seen as I will "appear" on a viewing list someday if I unhid it.

Edit to add: if you hide your profile then view someone's full profile, then unhide your own a month later, you will pop up on that profile's viewed list a month after you viewed the profile. I know it seems somewhat overly-thought out, but women have to go to extremes to read profiles without a fuck ton of crap coming our way

If/when I unhide my profile, I'll be popping up on all sorts of forum posters' who's viewed me lists. I can't tell you how many times, especially when I'm on my phone, that I wind up pressing whatever wrong spot I'm pressing to wind up at a profile page. So there's that too...just basic clumsiness.

I have had one like that in the past, browsed it because i was curious and in my area, quite rare to see. Just to get a message back 2 mins later "what the hell you browsinf me for?"
I'll browse but hardly ever contact as some say especially females will get inundated with "oh you like me etc etc" I found the one i got quite rude, never even contacted them, if you don't want your profile browsed, don't have one ot have it hidden!
On the other hand I have made a few good friends, because i browsed them, and then they read mine and sent me a polite message. Having nammers doesn't cost and can make you friends like I have.

Last time I got a "why are you viewing me?", I was clear that they had said something in the fora about bad weather and I wanted to know where they were that it was so much hotter than where I live.

The response was some kind of stammering where it was obvious they never even thought about what they post. I was pleased as punch to have embarrassed them to such a degree.

But yes, hitting wrong buttons is common also. I think the appropriate response to someone like that is that you didn't want to and wish your phone hadn't done it because you ran out of time to view the hot guy beneath them.

Now and then, I use the Favorites function to bookmark profiles that offer nice eye candy. One profile I visited particularly often, because the guy had links to lots of cute friends. Eventually, he sent me a nice note asking about my interest. That was a little awkward. I found some polite way to reply, but I can't recall what I said.
