I have long been a fan of the BBC series The Sandbaggers. My Dad introduced me to it and I can never look at a covert espionage movie/series without first comparing it to The Sandbaggers. The other intrigue with the series, if you care to read about it, is the fact that the man who wrote it, disappeared inexplicably. His ties with the British Intelligence beg the question as to whether or not he divulged just a bit too much. Has anyone else watched this timeless classic?

Yes, back in the 90's. Similarities to John Le Carre and another writer called Craig Thomas who wrote "Firefox". I was rather fond of Craig Thomas' books and thoroughly recommend them.

A short running series from BBC was 'Prisoner' with Patrick McGoohan. An excellent show that never realised it's full potential.
