Having been here for a few years now and had some wonderful positive experiences, I thought I would share the most important bit of advice for anyone who is new here, particularly guys ... which can help save a lot of wasted time!

The number one thing which I think it's important for people to remember - and this may sound obvious once I've explained it - is that if a profile has a clear picture of a woman's face on it, it's almost certainly a fake. This will be true in at least 99% of cases but probably far more.
Either the entity operating the profile is a different woman than the one pictured or, in the vast majority of cases, the profile is being operated by a man.
How am I sure about this? Well as I said I have had a good number of positive experiences meeting people, either in real life or virtually, on this site. I am a dominant man, and I look for submissive women. And 100% of the time, the people who I met who turned out to be genuine did not have a clear face pic on their profile.
On the other hand, every single woman on this site who I have made contact with, who has a clear face pic on their profile, has suddenly and mysteriously cut off contact at the point where it would become obvious they are not who they claim they are. Eg once we have arranged to meet, or talk over voice/video chat.

So why did I say this is obvious? Well ... think about it. This is a site devoted to activities which are generally considered very "taboo" by the vanilla population. You know, that "vanilla population" that ,however seriously we take our kink - from part time webcam subs to full-on lifestyle doms/dommes living in gothic castles and employing butlers who dress full time in PVC - we have to interact with from time to time. So what woman in her right mind is going to put a real, actual picture, clearly showing what she looks like, on a website like this, which could be seen at any time by a family member, childhood friend or workplace superior?
Us experienced perverts - who have connections in real-life with similar minded folk and are happy to some extent to mix our "kinky" an "everyday" lives - attending munches and the like - know that no (or very, very few - to the point it may as well be no) submissive woman is going to put her real face pic on a site like this. Particularly if its above a caption saying something like "I am looking for extreme full time slavery, I want to be repeatedly gang fucked in all of my holes and made to live in a pig stye".
It just isn't going to happen.
Yeah I know I can't say for 100% certain that no woman has ever done this, or will ever do this ... but in my extensive and considerable experience, that is certainly the case.
Just a piece of advice, for the new guys (and girls, although I can't say with any real certainty, because its outside my experience, that the same is true).
If a person's profile contains three of four pictures of the same girl, with absolutely no kinkiness about them - they've probably just been ripped from someone's Facebook, and it's very unlikely to be the person you're chatting with.

OP, you are lecturing the wrong group here. Those who might have use of some of your advice don't come to the forums. They stay on the other side. Those who come to the forums have read lectures like yours over and over and over again, written by those who believe we all need sage advice. Hate to tell you this but your advice is rather wasted on this side.

However, welcome to the forums. Stick around. Read a bit. Join in some of the discussions. We can always use some new thoughts around here.

Thank you all for your welcomes. I didn't realise that everyone here was this clued up. Its just I spent a bit of time reading profiles and saw how angry and upset some people seem to get here about "fakes", so thought it would be worth pointing out that there is a very simple method of dealing with them (i.e determining who they are and ignoring them).
