jlf1961 -> Things to do to drive OCD folks even more nuts. (8/17/2016 9:24:29 AM)

Okay, I admit I have an evil streak, and my sister takes OCD to completely new levels, so in an effort to make things interesting around the house...

1) since all of our ceiling fans have two sided blades (wood grain on one side, solid color on the other) last week while she was out and while I was cleaning the blades as requested, I switched one blade on each of the ceiling fans.

2) I have flipped the toilet paper roll in her bathroom, at least once a week.

3) Books on bookshelves seem to randomly (with help) get rearranged randomly by height of the book (and turned upside down.)

4) Furniture moved exactly one inch in the wrong direction

5) She asked me to change the bedding on her bed yesterday. I used different colored sheets and pillow cases from 4 different sets.

Now, in my defense, this campaign started after she brought in some of my all time favorite (now forbidden) snack foods.

You see, last year I was diagnosed as being borderline diabetic. I check my sugar twice a day, and in the last week she has brought home cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies and two nights ago made a batch of fudge that is so rich that you risk diabetic coma looking at it.

As a person with prediabetes, I concur with your plan of action. Mom says we will stop buying sweets at the bread store...she picks up 2 honey buns. I am trying to keep her from doing anything since her heart cauterization...she ends up with a case of sinus tachycardia Saturday and has been really weak since.

She is threatening to organize the books now...

you missed out setting every clock in the house on very slightly different times Jeff. Also, go to a charity shop and buy a half dozen or so of the books she enjoys most and leave them in plain view somewhere in the house, so she can find them. Of course, you have to remove the last couple of pages before you do this.

That is truly evil on the books...I had my brother's kids help me dust my room...my books are now disorganize and my mild OCD is itching to yank them all out, alphabetize and actually make room for more books. Forget the Closet of Doom...the yarn can stay mangled.

Another one that I like is to buy a jigsaw puzzle and encourage the victim to help you with it. Once all the straight edges are completed, throw in a dozen pieces from another, totally unrelated jigsaw and then gradually appear to lose interest in the puzzle an leave the victim to it. Most people make the mistake of taking pieces OUT. I found that my way REALLY drives ém nuts.

Just get them this.

I have purchased a few of these over the years, which has given me hours of pleasure just thinking of the puzzle junkies going nuts. I have thought of donating one to an old folks home, but even I am not that cruel.

She deserved it. Plus, you are evil.

I like that.

I was working in an old folks home here one time and did that to every jigsaw puzzle I could find. I quit the following day.

Another favourite of mine that I worked on my ex-wife, was to buy two Rubiks Cubes and take all the white stickers off one and stick them randomly on the other one. That may be one of the reasons she is now my Ex-wife I guess
