The BDSM scene alone is one factor. More male subs than female dommes. Another factor is that in the western world, women are heavily overvalued in the dating market while men are heavily undervalued in the dating market. That's why some fat unemployed skank with a ton of kids would have it a lot easier than the average looking slim built male with an middle class socioeconomic status.

It's like being mad at the woman because the male cop doesn't giver her a ticket. You're mad at the effect rather than the cause.
