For me it was always - Gatorade, dark chocolate and sunshine. Worked like a charm for me.

And don't play when you're tired, hungry, thirsty, off kilter. If you wouldn't run a marathon like that, don't play either.
The better shape you are going in, the better you are coming out of it.

For me, having to immediately stop play and then drive guarantees a bad drop.

I don't know if I could drive immediately after play. I come out of subspace feeling all fuzzy warm and drunk, despite being stone sober before and during play. I should definitely not try to operate heavy machinery in that state.

The in-home Sub Survival kit is a great idea! I'll have to put together some chocolate and snuggle things. Thank you for that suggestion! Maybe I can ask Daddy to help me pick out some things to help me through a drop, something to remind me how much he loves me.

being centered is a big one for me. i was off kilter and not in a good mind space when i started to play with my former owner. it is the only time i ever used my safe word. she respected it and we talked and cuddled. i was fine the next day for head space and play.
myself i take adhd meds so i dont stay in subspace long so no drop for me. not taking my meds is great for the flying but the rest of the time the adhd not treated is worse
i enjoy Belgian style truffles for my after time with cuddles.
