id go off in a slightly different interpretation of pathological; technically "of or caused by a physical or mental disorder."

what rather follows from that is an inability to be truthful.

and yes, agreed, the comrades here don't know what a lie or liar, really are.

Sure we do my bolshevik friend, nutsuckers pervasively here and elsewhere are exemplars of the dictionary definition, profoundly satisfying all necessary and sufficient conditions with every posting.

I would like to know the definition of pathological. Because it seems some have no clue what it actually means.

The obviously right sidewalk ?

I suspect maybe you were going for Hillary Clinton, so i'll chime in and (honestly) say her.

Seemed like a trick question so I thought he was looking for somthing else.
Remember she said she was named after Sir Edmond Hillary because he was the first person to climb Everest. Problem was he didn't climb it till she was 4 or 5.
A pointless lie told for no particular reason during Bill's 92 campaign.

I used to know a person who would tell any lie to advance her point. She would even lie to me about me.
Problem was, whatever came out of her mouth, she believed.

Sorry to disagree Bama but if she is 68, she was born about '47 and Everest wasn't climbed until about 52, because Edmund Hillary said at the time he would give it to Betty Windsor as a coronation gift. So Clinton MAY be all that is said of her but the dates DO match up. Why would an American be named after a Kiwi who climbed a Nepalese rock and gave it to an English queen though ? I wouldn't trust Clinton to lie straight in bed though.

And if the bitch was really named after the first person up Everest, she would surely be named Ten-Singh ? *smile*. 'Ten-Singh Clinton' certainly has a ring to it though, doesn't it ? *smile*

I thought she told that lie in 1996, because she was so scared of the sniper fire at the airport?

It would have made more sense if she had been named Thor or Heyerdahl or Kon-Tiki................that was a highlight of 47. If her parents had left it a year or so, she could have been named '38th Parallel'

MariaB -> RE: When you hear the phrase..... (8/31/2016 12:26:21 AM)

According to this article, a pathological liar is usually someone suffering from low self esteem. They lie about literally every aspect of their life.

Basically, a pathological liar is someone who tells lies habitually, chronically and compulsively. It has simply become a way of life for this person, to make up things for a variety of reasons and eventually, the truth becomes uncomfortable while weaving whoppers feels right to them. This kind of lying tends to develop early on in life, often as a response to difficult home or school situations that seemed to resolve better if the child lied. It's a bad habit, not a manipulative trait––this is how to differentiate a pathological liar from a sociopath who does seek to manipulate.

I think Clintons a sociopath and not a pathological liar.

Yup 68, just 3 years younger than McCain when he ran and the left kept screaming that he was way to old to be president. Funny they don't seem to think it's too old when it's their candidate.

You still have her born 5 years before Everest was climbed. So even if her parents would name her after a Aussie who climbed a Nepalese rock 5 years before he did it. Did she go five years without a name? Or could her parents see the future.

Yes, I was thinking that Sir Hillary didn't exactly go up that mountain alone.

we'd have to see Hillary's exact words in context. otherwise, its possible she was named after Edmund Hillary, presumably still a well-known figure, before he climbed Everest.

mnottertail -> RE: When you hear the phrase..... (8/31/2016 6:15:03 AM)

Her words were her mother once told her she was named after him (and I expect since it was the only time she said it, when she had met and conversed with man) that she knew as well as anyone else that it was a cute bit of family lore without and real anything behind it.

Later she blamed it on her mother.

Welfare patient research? At the time she met Sir Edmund she said my mother told me. . .

What do you blame your welfare patientism and shiteating stupidity on, your mother?
