Itstoday1234 -> A question about breath control (8/30/2016 7:42:42 AM)

Can anyone point me to articles relating to breath control. I very much enjoyed using breath control on my sub however I want to ensure that I'm doing things correctly so I do not harm her in any way. I'm sure there is a multitude of techniques and locations so I'm looking to educate myself in this area more.

You can use the search feature on these forums to search out Breath Play. Since you are new, I will provide you a link with the results: Click Here

Also, Google works well too.

If you are doing breath play, I would hold off on doing more until you read up about it, and not just one article, but many. Obviously, it has its risks.

But exciting. For some of us. You will also require it in writing/correspondence trust me on such matters.

My desires and needs are beyond your comprehension -arguments can therefore be made i am an anomaly and why I am often alone with three cats and breath play - ive done with exactly 3 people in my whole life..a modest sum I suppose.

No one recovers from death, save Lazarus perhaps - therefore I recommend not, perhaps some asphyxiation in moderation - but the problem is everyone is different and i read about 2 stories per year in the UK where it went awry

What Gauge said. This is a really dangerous kink to be messing with if you don't know what you're doing.
Maybe you'd be better off taking your sub to a munch and seeing if you can find somebody who's willing to show you how its done safely, rather than looking at online resources for a how to guide?
(That said, the fact that you're aware you are running the risk of hurting her with this stuff is reassuring.)

To the op. Just to be clear, are you talking just about breath play or do you include strangulation play in that?

Just to be clear, strangulation play is not the same as breath play because the amount of pressure needed to block off the trachea/airways is not something any sane person would be willing to attempt. Strangulation play can turn deadly very quickly and even the most experienced robust players will tell you that.

In all my time on the London scene I’ve never seen anyone give a workshop or do a talk on strangulation play but I have been to a few breath play workshops.

I was talking about breatg play but was curious about strangulation. I decided to sit back and take in everyone's perceptive of both even though I was not talking about both. To put many at rest I do know CPR both forward and backwards and I have field combat training as well. I do understand the dangers and have sought advice before but never stopped looking for more information on the kink. I would like to thank everyone for there inputs and advice to include being pointed to articles on it.

There is NO safe way to do this. You risk them dying every single time you do this. I am NOT writing this to be scary. Rather, I'm telling the cold, hard truth. There HAVE been cases of someone dying and/or ending up in the hospital and the person got sued. The best way to do this is "Faux" breath play, where you LIGHTLY place your hand on your partner's neck (DO NOT SQUEEZE) in the "heat of the moment". Due to brain chemistry, the brain tricks itself into thinking "OH CRAP SOMETHING IS HAPPENING", when in reality it's not. Squeezing the blood vessels instead is NOT a good idea either, because then you risk your partner having a stroke on you.
