I hate memes on profiles for a variety of reasons. No matter. But I came across this meme, on a women’s profile, on another site and found it actually offensive.

Studies suggest nine ten men prefer curves Studies suggest, 9 out of 10 men prefer a woman with curves. The 10th man prefers the other 9 men.

Smacking of entitlement, I wondered to myself if she would give tubby guys like me the time of day. Overlooking the homophobic reference and the inference real men are not allowed free will to choose if they prefer a skeleton, thin, average, ample, own gravitational field.

Or possibly just a reference to the fact that a lot of uberskinny fashion plates who are supposed to be more attractive than thicker women look more like a teenage boy sporting falsies, and so would appeal more to guys who swing the other way, rather than reversed body fascism or entitlement? There's a longstanding argument about the waif look only coming in because the fashion industry is largely dominated by male homosexuals, after all.

I don't find it offensive. I find is sad. I am curvy, and I have never felt the need to suggest that skinnier women (or fitter women or much larger women) are less woman to me, or that they are not preferred by some men.

I am not everyone's cup of tea. For those whose cup I am, though, I'm like cat nip, and they love my body to distraction.

Today, I sent Pet a photo after my workout.

Him: A smile and cleavage! I like! You have made me a boob man.

Me: I have made you a "me" man.

Him: Uh huh!

Been fat all my life...yep I laughed, harmless fun, but more pointing out that there are men out there that fall for fat chicks. Just as there are women who love fat guys.
Body shaming is insidious. wether its male or female, or skinny or fat...but it says more about the "shamer" than the "shamee"

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/07/18/a-playboy-playmate-found-this-normal-womans-naked-body-gross-so-she-posted-it-online/?tid=hybrid_experimentrandom_2_na

Dani Mathers, Playboy’s 2015 Playmate of the Year, was at L.A. Fitness on Wednesday when the body of a fellow gym-goer offended her. The 29-year-old took to Snapchat to post the woman’s body — naked, on her story.

The caption: “If I can’t see unsee this then you can’t either.” It pictured Mathers, sporting weight-lifting gloves and a Nike tank top, covering her mouth in false-shock. What resulted was likely thousands looking at this woman’s nude body, fat-shamed by a blond Playmate, on Mathers’s public Snapchat.

The backlash was strong — Mathers has been banned from L.A. Fitness, indefinitely suspended from her radio gig on a popular Los Angeles station and predictably lambasted on the Internet.

Just as an aside, my sister when young was extremely "skinny" her nickname at school was twig, she developed bullimia, thankfully she sought help after many years, and is doing well now but we both had issues with other peoples views of our bodies. Now..we are both fat...and happy... Altho when I told her about going skinny dipping at an event, she said I was nuts:)

It actually takes something extraordinary to offend me. I hold no grudges - save for predators and those who prey on the vulnerable with lie - conversely the vulnerable who prey on liars. and liars - that goes without saying with me.

hells bells - red my favourite colour as is rubber...been a while since I looked at you. You and I can get away with a bit of tub, our minds aside....lobs in a marriage proposal

Lucylastic My wife from long long ago was hourglass then fat - i never complained ever - I did when the anorexia/bulmia set in - these minds are hard to reach and I tried even though I did not like her as a person

But none of you have yet addressed the implications - ramifications of that meme

Possibly because there are none??

I find most meme's to be silly, unfunny, and just meh!
I don't see that this particular meme has any ramifications; not unless you want to make some.

If you found it offensive, that would be your personal take on it.
And yet again I couldn't vote on your poll - it's just too restrictive in the options.
Like all of your polls, they only have options you consider, not the broader picture.

While I'm not a fan of body shaming in the meme, I think it's fantastic that whoever posted it is happy and comfortable in their body. I can understand why that would offend you.

Anyone else find it ironic that the guy calling everyone fake is the guy posting in his own thread with a sock account?

Not sure that ironic is quite the word I'd chose myself.

Thanks, sweetie. I have zero desire in getting married. *smiles*

Ramifications? Meh. Too much to go into.

It's your average everyday female hypocrisy in action. Nothing unusual, but not something which should be lauded, either.
