Do you have the capacity to learn something? Do you have the desire to learn how to cook? If you feel that this is something someone would see as desirable in a partner, then learn to cook. There are online courses, YouTube videos, beginners cook books, your local community college likely has some sort of non-credit cooking courses.
I watched cooking shows as a kid. The Galloping Gourmet and Julia Child were right up there along with Sesame Street and Mr. Rodgers for me. I made my first full meal when I was 6 years old, with just a little help from my Mom. In the three years that I have been with my submissive, she has only cooked once, I do all the cooking.
Cooking is not rocket science, all you have to do is learn a few basic things and you can make wonderful food. Then, as your skills improve, you can get a little more fancy, but nail the basics first. The most important thing is not to get intimidated by it... yes, there are complicated terms and very complex dishes out there, but learn to fry an egg first... or make soup (which is really easy). Watch cooking shows whenever you can, watch what they do and how they do it, yeah, a lot of them make it look easy, but forget that and watch them. If you have a favorite meal that you like, learn how to cook that for yourself. Frankly, it is very satisfying when I make a meal and others enjoy what I have made.
So, if you really want to learn, go learn.

If I had a party.....of my most important friends.....I would NEVER cook for them because....they would never again want to visit my home.

I don't want you to cook for me (although if you came to my home, wanting a tasty meal, it would be smart of you to be prepared to do so)....nor would I ever ask you to because....well....that would be a smidge uncouth....asking you over....to cook your own meal.
I would ask you over....to enjoy my (amazing and irreparable) company and....I would have looooooooong in advance....had someone (who ACTUALLY knows something about making tenable food).....make some.
WTF is the issue with me being some kind of misogynist prick, expecting some woman to make me my food?
