I don't claim to be an expert and never have done.
But many non-US people on here have never been to the US - I have, and not a week's holiday to Orlando. So I do have a little better perspective than someone who's never been there.
And if you bothered to read properly, I said NC and FL.
And just like I don't have to be an expert to know I'd hate living in the Sahara Desert, or in Aleppo, or getting run over by a bus, I do know I wouldn't like living in a country who's gun culture is such that I could get shot the moment I left the airport or my kids get blown away while at school or at the local mall or my wife getting her head blown off by some gun-crazed asshole who wants her purse.
We just don't have that sort of anxiety or that many gun deaths to feel the need to have a gun.
It's not us with the paranoia, much to your chagrin.
You have lived in it for sooo long you can't see the wood for the trees.
Those of us on the outside can see it as plain as a carbuncle on the end of your nose.
So yeah, tell me you'll jump for joy at having your guns at the next mass shooting or senseless gun murder.
You'll be all 'woe is me' and 'why didn't somebody stop this crazy shit'.

Your analogies to Sahara and Aleppo aren't valid arguments. Can you tell me why. I'm betting no.
Nobody gets shot in NC....okay or FL....on the way into town from the airport. The fact that you even spout such nonsense just shows you really have no clue what you're talking about even though, I know, Bama has been trying to educate you on this for some time. Do we know what you call a person that cannot learn? Well, one thing we call them is not worth the time it takes to talk to them.
From everything I've ever seen you say on here, I'm very sure that you shouldn't try and project what I'm thinking, what brings me joy, or brings me sorrow. You'd actually have to have a heart and a brain to try and I just don't see evidence of either in you.
As I do understand that as one of the truly passive aggressive haters on here you won't stop until you have the last word, you may have it now. I'm going to take my own advise and disengage from worthless discussion with you.
