Simply for being a part of the machine. Raises the question: why aren't the cooks, dish washers, and train engineers also indicted? I suspect the answer to the WHY of this trial lies in the observation that there are some 28 (?) co-plaintiffs survivors. Co-plaintiffs in a criminal trial? Is this a last gasp attempt by Holocaust survivors to gain a measure of justice for their own solace? In any case, I find the recent trials of four very old men to be a very disturbing spectacle. This last trial has been postponed for the fifth time due to the defendant's ill health. The plaintiffs have filed a motion for the judge to recuse himself for bias. The judge said it may take him several weeks to read the plaintiffs' motion. One might suspect the judge thinks the whole thing is farcical.

The point is that the job of the ss as an entity is the issue. The train drivers etc are not part of the ss. Google can acquaint you with the ss and it's origin. Consequently if you were ss and worked in your "primary mos" as an "exterminator" then you are ipso facto guilty of murder whether you just herded them into the gas chamber or the one who dropped the poison canister or the camp commander. In this country if you are part of a gang that robs a bank you are guilty of bank robery even if you were not actually in the bank.

It is called unlawful detention and is a felony. The only civilians, at least in this state who can do that are licensed fugitive recovery agents for bail bondsmen. Palestine is under the boots of an occupying power.
