ORIGINAL: respectmen Sorry, I am on my phone and sometimes it doesn't like copying texts. So when I did the copy and paste thing, it gave out an old link that I used from my phone a while ago. Anyway http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/29070/ Some people in here really need to learn that there is a difference between criticising a movement (feminism) than there is to criticise a gender (women). Hating feminist doesn't equal to hating women. If that's the case, anyone who doesn't like the men's rights movement must hate men. quote:
ORIGINAL: PeonForHer So, what exactly distinguishes a feminist from an ordinary woman for you then, RM? Methinks you have hit the nail squarely on the head. It is very difficult for many of us to see what realistic distinction respect makes between women in general and feminists, before you even get on to the fact that some of the views he highlights are hardly shared by all "feminists" or are not the great conspiracies he seems to think they are. Strangely, despite what respect says, it is frequently implied by men's rights enthusiasts that men who express "feminist" views or don't like the men's rights movement are not real men, dislike men or are gender traitors. For me part, I see more danger in an exaggerated backlash against feminism than I see in the some of the more extreme views espoused by a small subset of feminists, who contrary to respect's beliefs, are not some conspiratorial cabal who control western society.
