If you understand anything about structure fires then you know the buildings did exactly what a hot fire does to a structure. The idea there was a demolition system is far fetched. I'd need to see a citation. You could note that the towers were built just after asbestos was banned because of all of the lawsuits against it. The insulation was no where near what asbestos of the day or insulation of today would be. The fires, fueled with wing tanks full of jet fuel, just melted the structural steel and the building floors collapsed on each other as any fire fighter would have predicted.

I was thinking more of the curious failure of ambulance chasers to sue OBL or his fabulously wealthy relatives for damages than palliative measures that actually happened, if I'm honest.
