Buffett and train corporations want software programs to control trains instead of human engineers.. thats what they are pushing hard for.. there has been a fatal accident with driverless cars, wonder how bad it could get with driverless trains (some carrying tankerloads of dangerous chemicals with potentially even more dangerous/explosive combinations)..

It seems to me that (if I understand the regs correctly) there should have been a second crew member on that train as well as the engineer.. if so, where is he/she?

You would think there would still be humans overseeing transportation, cuz ya dont want some extremist/terrorist stealing any of that shite.. nuclear materials are transported by truck, train, plane and ship..

What really is the excuse for not implementing the passive system that would probably have prevented this?
