ha. Within a few minutes I saw a few replies one could define as unsupportive. Funny though.

So, I'm new to this and I ain't too sure how to begin. I imagine quite a few people have felt this way before. Little lost, no map, no expectations; just a curiousity that refuses to stop popping back up, no matter how hard I try to shove it back into the little black box in the corner of my mind. So, 'how would one find a lesbian domme', was the question that lead me to this place. Now, after poking about on a few sites; reading and such, I see that there's a whole world that has terms to define, and other confusing acronoyms. Basically things that I've not a clue about. So... Here we go, down the rabbit hole. It'd be nice to have someone hold my hand and pat my shoulder as I tumble though; that's just the dream, ya know? Finding something real. Fantasy is easier to find, more-so maybe. Ha.
Either way, hello to all you kinks out there. Hope yall are doing well and arnt to 'takin-a-back,' by some of my choices in regards to grammar. Ha.

There are actually some good threads in the Ask a Mistress forum that address how to approach female Dominants, although I'm afraid the lesbian demographic is under represented here in the forums.

Hi there! Please keep in mind that I'm a cishet man, so my advice might be a little off because of that.

This might not be a bad place to pick up some basics. But generally, meeting ministers in person is a far better way to go. And not only people in your target demographic. Just meeting people as platonic friends is great. You'll learn a bunch and, once you're plugged into a network, things fall into place.

One of the big questions you'll need to address is, how flexible are you? You say you want a lesbian Domme. Would it be okay if she was poly? If she was bi and had relationships with men? If she was a switch and subbed to others?

You don't need to answer those questions right away. But keep hour mind open. I have known:

A submissive man who developed into a Dom for his sub, who in turn developed a Top side for him.

A straight sub woman who entered a lesbian relationship with a lesbian sub. They both developed top sides for the other.

Anyway, OP, I will attempt to be helpful.

You are going to have a stumbling block. There really are just too many het men who create lesbian profiles trying to chat up women. This blows for you, of course, but it's what makes people less likely to be willing to interact with you. There's always going to be a segment of the site that doubts you are a woman because of the @ssholes who pretty much screwed it up for you before you ever got here.
