All is well in paradise. We are ready for colder weather and enjoying fall.....in as much as we can. Hubs has been studying for a serious test....equivalent to a bar exam with his field.........and is stressed almost beyond my limited patience at times. I just keep reminding myself, when he gets a bit snappish, it isn't me but instead the stress. That's when I leave him alone. Most of the time he is absolutely fine and extremely appreciative. We are so much the 'Odd Couple' in so many ways but damn, I love that we've been together for over 26 years.
I have to admit that, at this point in life, I don't even think much about having a woman in my life. I don't have a patience for the,beginning of a relationship drama. I've had enough of trying to fit someone new into our life. Not long ago, I had a woman contact me on the other side. She was a couple years older than I and I enjoyed communicating with her and hoped that her age would give her some balance and more realistic expectations. She lives on the east coast and at first, it was supposed to be simply friendly communication. Then she began to talk about the possibility of relocating and wanted to get to know us better. I was appreciative of her maturity. Then she kept talking about my husband, asking how she would serve him. Something I ALWAYS make very clear, he has no interest and would actually be mortified at the idea, of a woman serving him sexually. He is very monogamous and......mine. She wouldn't leave it alone and oddly, the more I told her the reality, the more she obsessed over it. I finally told her it was time to end the communications. She was too obsessed with 'sexual service' and not interesting in actually submitting and serving. C'est la vie.
But yes, we are doing well. I love being outdoors this time of year. Riding, canoeing, fishing, hiking........the whole spectrum. Yay for fall!
