ORIGINAL: TieMeInKnottss In regards to the original question, I think much has to do with sun prevention, anti-smoking awareness, preventive maintenance such as facials, moisturizers,,, and the fact that, life used to be HARD!! A 50 yr old women in the 50s had been through (likely) multiple pregnancies, lack of proper nutrition as we know it now (how many lived on grapefruit and cigarettes?), housework and childcare that took majority of time so little "free" time to vacation or exercise. My grandma birth 10 children, is a housewife. Husband died of cancer young, leaving her with 10 young kids, no education, not even able to speak English to support, so she gotta work, raise 10 kids, single handedly, and basically, no time to up keep herself. I have never seen her attempt to beautify herself. But I gotta say, I think youth is just genes. I always felt, she looked good for her age. Even at 70. But maybe I am bias. Just awed at any woman who birth 10 kids. But my great grandma was even worst. She birth 27 kids! With all their fertility, it's amazing I have not gotten myself knocked up ever.
