Which bank will pick Hillary's

https://newrepublic.com/article/137798/important-wikileaks-revelation-isnt-hillary-clinton

Michael Froman, who is now U.S. trade representative but at the time was an executive at Citigroup, wrote an email to Podesta on October 6, 2008, with the subject “Lists.” Froman used a Citigroup email address. He attached three documents: a list of women for top administration jobs, a list of non-white candidates, and a sample outline of 31 cabinet-level positions and who would fill them. “The lists will continue to grow,” Froman wrote to Podesta, “but these are the names to date that seem to be coming up as recommended by various sources for senior level jobs.”

well, the good news it wont be Putin, Koch or Haliburton. Those days are done for the century.

So you're fine with the big banks controlling who makes up the administration for Democrat Presidents?

tamaka -> RE: Citigroup dictated Obama Cabinet and Admin (10/14/2016 9:00:44 PM)

Not necessarily the big banks controlling... that might just be where he happened to be working at the time.

Looking at the actual email and attachments, I didn't see anything suggesting, much less proving, that Froman acted on Citibank's behalf. He had a background in public service, sat out the Bush 43 administration (which probably had little use for him), and was clearly interested in returning to public life. Yes, using a work email was dumb, but it's a mistake I've made myself.

One often hears from our brethren across the aisle that the market knows best and government should be run "more like a business." Given that mindset, it seems odd to complain that the Obama administration drew on the counsel and service of folks with business as well as government background.

So you're saying that imposing a quota system of based on gender and race is "more like business" would do?

Interesting question.

Beyond the strawmannish "So you're...," the question seems oddly at odds with your OP. If, as you appear to suggest, Froman's approach to identifying talent is not something a business would do, then he strikes me even less as a likely agent of Citibank, let alone all of Wall Street.

If you look at his education, you can see he's not really a businessman.

MrRodgers -> RE: Citigroup dictated Obama Cabinet and Admin (10/14/2016 10:57:02 PM)

Not only has this been going on at least since the 1920's and likely before but as I've tried to tell you, presidents do what they need to do...to stay alive. Reagan did not meet with or take money from wall street. Reagan did not want Bush I as his running mate. He was told by the repub establishment to take Bush, to unite the repubs and get party money, so he did.

Still Reagan didn't play ball with the bankers and didn't attend their meetings. It took all of 69 fucking days to shoot his ass. Reagan got real lucky, he was supposed to die. Then Bush the neocon, business, wall street poster boy would have taken over. But THEN Reagan...played ball.

Now if you really believe that Hinkley shot Reagan over a crush and an openly gay actress, then you WILL believe anything and by far too many Americans do when it suits them...believe what the govt. tells them. Go ahead, except of course, only when your ridiculous partisan prejudices tell you not to.

Defense contractor employees give the most money to Hillary Clinton

Nope, you nutsuckers are all for the wars across the globe while letting america rot.

A half a million from 50 defense contractors? That wont buy asswipe money for a month. Meaningless. How much has Koch and Haliburton put into nutsuckers. So you have a deal where cruz in two months got 357K from them. Good thing nutsuckers will not win the presidency hah?
Think of the wars we would be in while the nutsuckers cut veterans.

Of course he's not.
Hoping that businesses will fire incompetent fuckwits rather than promoting them appears to be asking for the moon on a stick these days.

Agreed. That's why he strikes me more as a politico than an agent of Citibank.

No, but then again I assume they pretty much do that regardless of who is in "power".

Michael Froman was on Obama's transition team.

That's what transition team peeps do, innit?
