Allrighty,it looks like all you geezerz got yer own nostalgia music threads,so I figured I'd post some crap that Looks good to my rosy colored glasses

I'm guess'n not many hip hop fans here, but have you tried listening to some of these mysteriously unnamed classics
(click if you dare)
A song bout the 90's made in the 90's
A song bout a pimp named jesus, not the kind of song you'd think

ok,rap aint yer thing,that's kool

How bout some primus?
My name it mud
or some more primus?
This music video and song are playing in my head literally all the time........
I'd post primus links allday, but the name on the tin is 90's music and not just primus primus primus primus

How bout some
Sonic youth
the pixies
something I picked from my SoundGarden.... get it.....
Mr Bungle...

I could post more, but I'm curious if any of you other bastards feel nostalgic for 90's music

Mr. Bungle sounds like Captain Beefheart meets Onigo Boingo with a dash of the Tubes tossed in for good measure.

MR. BUNGLE - My Ass Is On Fire (Live)

The cool music of the '90's was the oldies from the '70's.

Oh there was Quiet a bit of good music made like every decade before it...

It was the fun back ground noise those pesky teens were playing down the street, you might have caught a few notes of it here and there when your domestic duties demanded you leave the safety of the domicile and venture fourth into the wilderness to retrieve sustenance to regurgitate for your young

I was a youngster way back when,so naturally my eardrums hadn't shriveled up yet ;^)

I'm sorry sir,yer thinking of the early 00's(2000-2005)

The 90's had more of a "hey, lets rip off the 60's"vibe to it.

The mid 90's also marked the beginning of the 80's being considered lame..

Disco how ever, was always uncool, only briefly did a virulent fever make people think they liked it,but all signs of that pecular pathogen were quarantined by the 80's

Why do you think I'm lurking round here,no other reputable place would have me.
Poked round the political threads a bit,but I'll be damned if I'm gonna hang around with those clowns.

I loved disco but tbh, my fondness wasn't about the music per se. More about where I was dancing to it. A beach bar where on one memorable day Tommy Tune started dancing with us.

I was pretty little for a lot of the 90s but I had it bad for all those alt rock sad poetic boys.
3rd Eye Blind
Goo Goo Dolls
Counting Crows
Nirvana
Violent Femmes
Weezer back when they weren't Hollywood sell outs
Thanks for waxing poetic about a decade I actually remember.

My truth is that I like all kinds of music and grew up with two music teachers as parents.
I can see how each decade represented has value.

But really I like the 90s music the best.
I also reallllllly like rap and hip hop and admittedly the top 100 don't always totally suck.

No Nine Inch Nails?
How about some Come?
Nymphs?
Radiohead
Miranda Sex Garden
The KLF
Adamski (I'm sure this one was '90, not '89...)

More techno:
Aphex Twin
More Aphex Twin
(Both of these go on for a bit before the music finally kicks in because the video director thinks he's John Carpenter...)

The rare good music after 1989 does not in any way shape or form absolve the songwriters from their abysmal trash that has polluted the music industry since that year.

It was a rarity, except of course for that crap known collectively as Disco.

I'll certainly take them over the Boston tribute act, but there's a lot more I should have mentioned as well.
