LadyPact -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 5:28:32 AM)

How sweet of you to think of me. [;)]

I actually didn't start one due to thinking of you folks across the pond. I think it's darn near impossible to even talk about the episode without spoilers coming into it, so I didn't start one until you guys in the UK had a chance to see it. (Sucks that they don't air it until a day later for you.) Mum's the word until then.

Without spoilers, just a piece of advice. Watch The Talking Dead afterward. You'll really enjoy it.

Oh, and not a spoiler, but a prediction. I can't wait for our group to take out Simon. (Negan's go to guy.) Hopefully, that will happen sometime during the first half of season seven.

Have fun watching, Hon.

PeonForHer -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 8:09:49 AM)

Likewise, LP, likewise.

'Simon' ... always a villain's name. I too hope that he gets his comeuppance pronto.

Lordy, though, didn't it start with a bang and loads of dramatic tension and stuff? Wish I could binge watch the series.

NB: it'll be at least another six hours before we could safely say that most this side of the pond have watched it. Me, it was breakfast viewing.

BitaTruble -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 8:18:27 AM)

Out of respect for those across the pond..I will not be adding spoilers either other than to say the episode was a fine example of FUBAR.

Do you guys over the big wet also get Talking Dead?

PeonForHer -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 8:20:43 AM)

I've never felt inclined to look at the Talking Dead. Is it worth a viewing?

I watch it for the special sneak previews we get for next weeks episode but also..they do a Walkers 'in memorium' every week that are kinda fun to watch although this weeks was a tough one. :(

LadyPact -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 9:07:40 AM)

There are a lot of good things about TTD (the talking dead) that are kind of awesome. Usually, they have a "how it's made/done" section that I really enjoy. How did they pull off this special effect or what did they do to make this happen. I enjoy that kind of stuff.

Oddly enough, this episode of The Talking Dead is longer than TWD, itself.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 10:10:21 AM)

Pretty fucking good episode.

anniezz338 -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 6:55:40 PM)

It was so intense. I still feel fried just from watching it. :(

Lucylastic -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 7:05:13 PM)

Checking out the talking dead this evening(another time sink Im going to enjoy.)

All I have read today is the reactions from fans
I forgot to rewatch season 6, so I went into it cold forgetting some of what had happened, I was on the edge of my seat.
Im also thinking of starting the comics..

I was going to binge watch this at the end, but that went out the window last night....
cant wait for next week.

LadyPact -> RE: LP, Where is Your Walking Dead Thread??? (10/24/2016 7:50:59 PM)

I actually watched a lot of season six on Sunday. I really wanted to see the series six season finale again so I would see where we left off going right into the season seven premiere and it really worked for me like that. I don't know if it helped those who hated the cliffhanger bit at the end of last season.

One thing I can say that isn't a spoiler. Last year, they did The Talking Dead live from Madison Square Garden. I don't think I'd watch a first airing of any TWD episode around that many people. This year, I might have went for it with that new location they used. (I think it's some cemetery in LA.) Well, if they deliver Chinese food there.

Yeah me too. I think this episode was one of the most physically and emotionally brutal episodes to date.

The Chinese food (or some other kind of take out) has become a tradition for some TWD nights since moving back to civilization. Particularly season/mid-season openers and end of season shows. (Translation; episodes one, eight, nine, and sixteen of the season.)

I'm a good influence. [sm=angel_smiley017.gif]

I tend to watch it alone, so I dont have that excuse, plus the rice would go flying every time I jump...:)
When we watch together, I do sausage rolls or order pizza.

I have no interest in the show, but I've seen a LOT of reaction against the direction taken by the new show-runner with S07E01 being slammed for cynical manipulation of the audience and over-the-top violence.

It sounds an awful lot like it's turning into Saw - and while the first Saw movie was well put together, the torture-porn genre it inspired is something so akin to a snuff film that I find the whole damn lot of it abhorrent.
