Lucylastic -> RE: Is Australia the Worst Place on Earth to Be Male? (11/6/2016 5:58:56 PM)

I read an article the other day that half of americans live below 30.000 $ a year

As has been pointed out to you several times "third world" is a term to describe nations not aligned with amerika and it's alllies (first world) or russia and it's allies (second world).
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

How is Singapore not align with US?

Please cite for us the treaty that pledges amerika to come to the defense of that third world shithole called singapore.

When our PM was treated like royalty by the Obamas when they visited.

Which visiting head of state have the obamas not treated well?

Very different from the very cold reception they gave to China.

What is your point?

Of course China treated Obama poorly too.

What is your point?

But Obama would be treated like a King here too.

Amerika has presidents not kings. Even an idiot from idaho knows that.

Clearly Singapore and the US has a very good relationship.

Considering how much of the central provident fund amerika just scammed him out of with the airplane that doesn't fly. I can well imagine that amerika would like to continue siphoning off the wealth of that third world shithole called singapore with about a third of it's citizens living below the poverty level.

BTW, the article you quoted, you love to follow this Roy Ngerg dude who is a failed politician that can't even get 2% of the votes.

It has been shown that the nazi who runs that third world shithole called singapore does not tolerate any opposition so why do you pretend that it is otherwise?

Everybody think his an idiot here and always spreading lies about Singapore.

Your opinion is not validated by the facts.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

He even bribe a 15 yr old to get in trouble with the law that if the kid work hard to smear the ruling government, he'll reward the kid. He told the kid to do it as the kid is underage to get in trouble so the kid could do it safely. The kid wrote about it in his blog because he says he is not siding anybody but Roy offered him benefits IF he was voted MP.

Roy is completely corrupt.

You are entitled to your opinion no mater how ignorant, ill founded or unsubstantiated it may be.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

perhaps if you weren't so quick to be a troll, you might recognize I wasn't responding to the article, but rather to this part of dc's post, which came from tamaka:

Well considering the medium [sic] income of the middle class in Australia is 4 times the same in the USA, I'd say Australia has it's advantages.

you were just "proved wrong" in assuming what I was responding to. so again, i'll leave you standing corrected with this:

and this: get a life.

Please get a grown up to help you with the big words.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

Sorry for the wrong term... it should be median.

But i wonder how there can be such a huge disparity between the reports.

I think that was aimed at Thompson, not you.

Though the "[sic]" was rather bitchy.

I know he was responding to Thompson. I didn't take it as bitchy... he was just politely quoting me and acknowledging he knew i used the wrong word. I just don't understand how the two reports can be so different?

dcnovice -> RE: Is Australia the Worst Place on Earth to Be Male? (11/6/2016 8:57:13 PM)

I don't know. So much goes into how you crunch the numbers and what assumptions you use.

I note that A'ness has already realised that he's wasting his time trying to impose his (ahem) unique 'worldview' on us Aussies and has shifted his fat ass and associated bulk to the US. Good riddance. Don't feel any need to hurry back.

You can have him back. Seriously.

Thanks but no thanks. And no really means no!! It is comforting to be reminded that there is at least one ocean between us and him.

So he is yours to do what you wish with, as long as he isn't returned here. As Driver notes, the same goes for Murdoch. And if you want to go for the trifecta, RM is yours for the asking. Their absences make Australia a better place.

Hear bloody Hear tweaks !!!!............they already have Thompson and mnotaclue, so why not corral the lot in one misbegotten place like Death Valley. They would be fine there. The snakes wouldn't bite em for fear of being poisoned.

I just had this really weird flash................Do you remember that scene in 'Ghost' where the guy had just had all the money he was scamming deleted and he was running from computer to computer whimpering and nearly wetting himself in fear and frustration ?

Imagine if everybody on here, blocked that nasty bunch of shark-shit at the same time and left them on ' blocked'. I was just imagining all of them in the same room with about 50 computers, making like a model of the atom and bouncing from one to the other and off each other whimpering and wading through an ever expanding pool of pee.

I am really weird I guess *sigh*

Definitely.... very weird.

you gotta admit though, it would be a great scene for a Mack Sennet or Spike Milligan type comedy

um no---its merely a literary convention to show that any misspelling is attributable to the original and not the copy.

and in this case it was important because it linked her post to mine as opposed to, as the troll presumes, your article link to my post.

The US dollar has more buying power. Plus, economies of scale and the level of competition mean shit is really cheap over here.

REALLY cheap.

In OZ, petrol is around $2 a litre.

In the US, it's $2 a gallon.

Plus, housing is craploads more affordable over here. In Sydney you're looking at a million plus for a fucking shack. Out here you can get a family home for $300K.

In the South, where income levels are lower the cost of living is also lower. The South does have more poverty though.

Fascinating. I had no idea.

http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/economic-intelligence/2013/08/22/australias-middle-class-wealth-shows-how-far-america-has-fallen

That article is somewhat disingenuous. There are social factors which influence choice of destination. Australians are VERY familiar with the US due to media and our country is pretty large to begin with. We tend to travel anyway and a 14 hour flight to LA isn't a big thing.

In contrast, America is more insular and many people tend to think that all the action worth having lies within the country. Perceptions of Australia are frequently inaccurate and many of them think of it as a remote third world country.

Attributing the numbers to purely financial factors is deceptive and I note that USNews is a somewhat conservative organisation (although not rabidly so).
