Funny...all these issues seem to favor Clinton.
They had the same issue happen in early voting too. It's centered around ticket voting, regardless of the party. Voters punch for the ticket, which includes the president, but then punch for specific presidential candidate as well. If party ticket has already been punched, the additional punch registers as other party. So if someone votes straight R ticket, but then votes for individual candidate, it changes to the other party for that one office.
So what's happening is trump voters are punching R ticket, then I guess trying to make doubly sure they are also hitting the prez candidate separately. Since a preference is already registered for that office, it is bouncing to the other option for that office.
I expected to see more coverage on it when it was first reported, but never saw mention of it again after that. I figured it must have gotten fixed. Apparently not.
One point made at the time is that it at least shows that the voting procedure is working, because errors were being caught, which is preferable to them being overlooked. Which is kinda lame in my opinion.
When I have a chance I'll go back and look for the original reports. I'm actually standing in line to vote now , lol.
