"I think we learn humane things from the west." Yeah, while we forget. But there is not that much to forget, the US killed people a hundred years ago in South America for a goddamn fruit company so we could get bananas in January. I shit you not. While I totally support separating from England, the US has never, to my knowledge, held the moral high ground. And even breaking away from England was about money. And then the federal government did the same shit to the south and look what happened. We don't have much to teach about being humane. Even I will kill on sight if someone breaks into this house. I do not care if his kids are starving. And I have been through this before, if I actually caught someone who broke in raiding one of the deep freezes I might not kill. If he is not after my money, stereo, electronic equipment or whatever and just wants food I would probably adjust a bit. I would probably give him some food because we got plenty. But still, it is a very risky idea to come and just try to take it, and that is how it should be. But the possibility of people actually stealing food is imminent. I know alot of people get the food card, but shit happens. Trump cannot create jobs. Industry creates jobs. Industry creates jobs in the best environment they can find. We are looking at some fundamental changes here. First of all, they are not going to repeal the ACA, but it most definitely needs modification to get the insurance companies out of it and to negotiate the prices down. It is going to have to be a hard line thing like "WE ARE PAYING THIS MUCH FOR THAT OPERATION AND THAT IS THAT". This is something that a motherfucker like Trump would do, and that would benefit everyone. Then take it to single payer and build the cost into the income tax. That's what all the other countries did. And that could help the job situation. Let's put it this way, when someone gets hurt at work in Sweden or Germany or wherever, the company is not facing a million dollar lawsuit. When they get into a car wreck it is not fifty grand for a broken arm. When you just have hospitals and doctors where you just walk in and tax money has already paid the staff there are other benefits as well. Will Trump do this ? Not so sure. But I am sure he knows that the ACA in its current state is a fucking disaster. With a republican congress they might be able to fix it. Main problem is insurance company lobbyists. Like, they can only make 20 %, the oil companies would suck a mile of donkey dick to make 20 %. These insurance companies weren't making 20 % before ! The only ones who think they benefited from national Romneycare (which is what it is) are people with chronic/pre-existing conditions and nobody said anything about how much the insurance companies could charge them. So if they stay low income they get subsidies. It was better for the real taxpayers when the emergency room was the primary healthcare provider ! Seriously. All they did was to insert a middleman. And people are goddamn sick of it and that is why Trump won. Anything but the status quo, totally sick of it. Clinton represented the status quo. Trump represented a loose cannon about to shake things up and make some real change. Remember Obama promised change and it did not happen. Things just got worse which is what most of us expected, but he got elected because the alternatives were even more repulsive. So just like USians for a log time have done, they never voted FOR anyone, they voted AGAINST the other. And people are sick of that as well so these political parties better get their shit together or they won't be political parties anymore. Like the whigs. T^T
