MyCaptainsPet -> Journaling with writers block (7/23/2006 10:13:44 AM)

My Captain is away for a bit on a trip that i was unable to join him on.  He's left me the task of journaling daily on my private blog/journal and our joint blog.... with the explicit instructions NOT to post previously posted stories/poems. Everything must be origional and freshly written.

The problem is i have writers block and end up staring at the empty post box with NO ideas coming my way.

Anyone have any ideas?  Yes, i already  blogged about having writers block...

How do you feel about having already blogged about writers block and then posting this here?

Write about the writer that is currently experiencing writer's block. :)

http://www.sensual-service.com/

there is a link there for journaling prompts and they do change them up occasionally... I have a few times read through them and blogged about one of the ones that interest me.  I'm sure that there are more sites like that out there but this is just one for a start.  *hugs* good luck... I know that journaling can be difficult when you don't feel inspired.

i  hoped it would change things mentally but it hasn't.   All my blogs are supposed to be about topics.. my private blog/journal about personal discovery, ideas and thoughts.. Our joint one is sensual stories, poems, and  questions for discussion.

Well that sounds like a good post to put up right there.

Minds aren't like light switches.  I think ordering creative work like that is a pretty risky move for this very reason.  You can certainly come up with things to write about, but creative art is not on demand like that- especially when you have to deal with distance at the same time.

Other than continuing to post about your frustration and exploring the reasons for it, I'm not sure what to suggest.  I think it's too bad that you're having to go through extra frustration when you're already dealing with having to be apart just because your creative muse isn't hanging around.

my Other has been overseas and out of touch for almost two weeks and i miss the stimulation She gives to my daily reports and journal posts. But i have persevered. A journal is just a written recounting of your daily life and feelings. Got up late, had a shitty day at work, miss my Owner, can't think of one brilliant thing to say. That's a real journal entry. That's how mine have read of late, counting down the days to Her return. Sounds like we're in the same boat. Got a spare oar?

Topics?
Writers block
frustration
missing him
not being able to follow a command
why you have difficulty creating on command
