America: 200 million of 241 million were actually registered to vote = 83% 104 million voted from 241 million = 43% of the eligible. Of that 43% just over half voted for trump. Therefore only 23% of the eligible electorate voted from trump. Some countries are more democratic than others, but Trump's presidency has convinced me that the US is actually a lot more democratic than I ever gave it credit for. This is the first election I've seen that didn't seem like establishment candidate 1 versus establishment candidate 2, so I always suspected it was rigged until now. But there is no way that Trump was selected by the establishment... so the people must have a voice. It's actually really terrible and I think we should be more like China.
