Obama didn't use hate speech, scapegoat any ethnic group or present himself as an authoritarian.

Are you sure? To me, Obama demonised the police force and paint them all with the same brush while supporting BLM.

A50shousehusband -> RE: These aren't "protests" (11/14/2016 11:07:36 PM)

Demonised or recognized that maybe something is wrong?

Again, I find it hard to believe that anyone can not see that Trump is different from a normal candidate.

No but he did plenty of things that scared the shit out of a lot of people.

Edwird -> RE: These aren't "protests" (11/14/2016 11:21:09 PM)

Just a black guy showing up for the event at all is what scared the shit out of a lot of people.

Not painting everybody with the same brush apparently only applies to Muslims in Obama world.

To criticise the whole police force because of a few rogue police?

I suppose it scared some. His middle name Hussein was scary too. Combine that with trusting him to deal with Islamic- rooted terrorism, making a deal with Iran, what seemed like an attempt to incite further hatred between whites and blacks, changing the rules so no business wanted to employ you for more than 28 hours/week, etc... scared alot of people.

I bet you if the black guy was Will Smith or Morgan Freeman or Denzel Washington. That wouldn't happen.

Maybe if Kanye West, maybe....

For me, he has two Muslim fathers. So I have questions about where his loyalty lies. With Islamic values or American values?
But after getting to know how he treats Michelle Obama and seeing how he enables and respect her as a strong independent woman. I am convinced, he knows how to compartmentalize.

I am a big Michelle Obama fan, although I don't believe in her nonsensical scare mongering about Trump. But over all. She is a great role model for women and the black community. Very empowering.

All the rest follows from the first. Scary name? Good grief. Your (and many others') -impression- of him based on race and middle name is his fault? RE Iran; trying to make a deal with them is bad? The US made various deals with the USSR all the time even as we were sniping at each other in somebody else's back yard (other countries) to keep matters from getting even worse. What, you're saying we should have attacked Iran instead? Incite even more terrorism than already?

Be specific, just what did he actually do to incite further hatred between whites and blacks? All this lack of trust and 'seems like' and other purely personal impressions have to do with you, not Obama. You (and others) are blaming your daft impression of another person on that person, rather than deal with your own innately fear based emotional disequilibrium.

Edwird -> RE: These aren't "protests" (11/15/2016 12:12:55 AM)

PS

And no, I am not saying that all who opposed Obama did so on a racial basis. There were plenty, I'm sure, where that was not a factor, even after discounting those who lied to themselves about it.

Just as I think that the majority opposing Clinton did so for non-gender reasons. Gender was/is still less of an issue than race in these matters.

MistressBellaTh -> RE: These aren't "protests" (11/15/2016 12:36:22 AM)

Hello everyone

Greta75 -> RE: These aren't "protests" (11/15/2016 12:39:12 AM)

There is no way Clinton lost because of gender. And it amazes me that some Hillary supporters genuinely believe this is the reason. The best woman was not put forward.

Perhaps if Ellen Degeneres ran for President, she would win! Despite being Lesbian!

Clinton just lacks the warmth and relatableness.

She is not her husband. She lacks the Charisma.

This will obviously come as a surprise to you, but there are other reasons not to like a President.

A "normal" candidate? Woof. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you don't have a sense of humor.

Holy fuck thats a special kind of pathetic immature american reasoning right there, scared of someones name..
LMFAO

Greta75 -> RE: These aren't "protests" (11/15/2016 1:56:35 AM)

No matter what, for the US to have someone named Barack Hussein Obama as President IS amazing. Same people who elected Trump. Proves that America is not racist. And many understands that Trump is not pushing any racist agenda. Also more white people voted for Obama than for Clinton and Trump.

So this also tells me that, many white folks didn't bother to vote this time, but came out for Obama.

Lucylastic -> RE: These aren't "protests" (11/15/2016 2:02:19 AM)

0000000000000000000000h no, people arent racist or sexist or idiots.

THats why trump asked people to stop with it.
That proves there is no racism
Right

Trump asked those who are racist to stop, because he does not support Racism nor is he a racist. That makes sense.

You do know that Democrats were going to Trump rallies for the express purpose of starting fights?

Oh right, they were just evil people looking to start fights and it had nothing to do with what Trump was saying.

Ahh I just realized you were referencing a right wing conspiracy theory based on videos made by a propagandist and picked up by FOX and other RWNJ news sites...

I don't even want to respond to that.

Doubt that this made it to the frozen north but some of the emails "obtained" bt wekileaks included discussions about the Democrats doing just that, it isn't propaganda it is documented fact. And no they weren't just evil people starting trouble, they were political operatives willing to do anything to win.

Are you kidding, all we heard from Obama was how he wanted to "fundamentally change" America, not a single charge was made against him that wasn't dismissed as racist. Mrs. Obama saying that in her adult life she wasn't proud of the country till we elected him. Did you know that he played not only the race card but he used the birther card against McCain. He was more subtle but he was every bit as insulting as Trump.
