WickedsDesire -> Clinton currently has 1 million more votes (11/15/2016 11:25:30 AM)

With one state left to count, Mrs Clinton has nearly a million more votes than him but lost last week's election due to the electoral college system.
Mr Trump said on Sunday this system was unfair and he preferred a simple vote.
But on Tuesday he insisted he would have still won a straight vote because he would have focused more on the big states won by Mrs Clinton.

46.9% didn’t vote
25.9% for Binton
25.8% for Turnip
1.7% for Johnson

Yeah, but what are you going to do?

The Trump win was horrifying but the system can't be changed NOW or else the people doing it look like sore losers.

Fight against Trump, refuse to accept his policies, protest, stand up to racists and demand better government... but don't try to change a system you were perfectly fine with just last week.

Wayward5oul -> RE: Clinton currently has 1 million more votes (11/15/2016 11:50:17 AM)

They both ran a campaign geared towards winning the most electoral votes. One of them succeeded. Let's move on.

I haven't liked the U.S. voting system since Bush 1, when I first saw how the vote of so many people were never counted. Right now I'm not sure what a better system would be, but if it is ever changed it will be during someone's unpopular presidency, and this one coming up would be as good of a place to make changes as any. . . that is, if we even have a country left to vote again in 4 years.

Monster attack - anyone remember the 5.25 sim city original? Almost 47, this week ;)

Does democracy exit in the USA nope, the UK is bad but not quite as bad you usually need about 28-30% or is it 32%, I think (and my words on that system are not good).

The USA system was designed to stop a minority getting in but here we/you are - I would say the same thing if Bint got in

happened with gore was it? I ve no idea which party he was

26% isn't enough that is appalling I am still struggling to get my head around that, more so when it is still a two party system.

His CV was appalling, nay disgusting and if anyone of us had that we would not be allowed accepted vetted for a a job in 7/11 or McDonalds

What the fuk happened to you America have you always been like this? Did it take a monster for me to sit up and notice.

Someone mentioned on another thread tonight x number of protestors did not vote.

Where the hell was I.

So his campaign was based on lies & he has back tracked/opposite flipped on everything he stood and campaigned for – the climate change one is the only one he has not yet….unless I am missing something? I think America are legally tied into that one for 3 years now.

Oh I don't know, but maybe stop acting as though it is some sort of apocalypse.

And who voted in the "winner take all" provisions such as California has? Hmm? The number of electoral votes for each state are alotted by the census. How they are voted is up to the individual states. How many electoral ballots are the electors required to honor the popular vote? Yep, it varies.

Too easy to be an alarmist - but also too easy to be a 'complacentist'. I remember reading about a book, written by an eminent historian of the day - all facts marshalled in superb detail; coherent and incisive arguments throughout ... that came to the supremely confident and authoritative conclusion that there'd never be another world war. It was published in 1938. (I can't remember the historian's name - not many can: his stature waned somewhat after WW2.)

If you have read my posts these past few months, you know that I would probably be labeled as belonging with the alarmist group than a complacent group. I detest Trump. But the fact is that he won, fair and square, surprising even himself, I believe.

It's done. He will be President. Acceptance of reality doesn't mean be complacent. Finding a way to deal with reality in a constructive manner is what I choose to do. Exercising my rights and responsibilities as a citizen, continuing to speak up for my rights and the rights of others, voting for candidates who I believe in, advocate for the things I believe in.

It's still my country, and like it or not, Trump is now my President. I am not going to be like the people that I have sat around and watched for the past 8 years bitch and moan about Obama, cheer on partisan blockades because Obama, grasp misleading or downright untrue "news" so they can justify and feel better about their own behavior, etc.

He is already waffling on key campaign promises, which proves he is going to be just as unpredictable for the people who elected him as he was for those of us who voted against him.

Frankly, the predictions of him getting impeached don't sound so farfetched to me. And if he is forced to leave office, that leaves us with Pence, who IMHO is not much of an improvement.

Quit confusing the boy with logic.

Pretty sure the apocalypse would be nearer with Clinton. She is in Israel's pocket and they want war. More specifically they want the US to fight a war for the that will make them money but do not want to shed their own blood. that means she would antagonize the middle east even more.. Trump on the other hand has no use for them. And I am sure as he talks with Putin he will receive a better education on world politics than almost anyone, if it takes. Granted, he might be too stubborn in the head for that but maybe not. And I a not saying Putin is a good guy, I am just saying that he is very knowledgeable in what is going on in the world. And Trump knows war with Russia would really fuck us upp. Might wi but if you are bleeding all over the place and about to die, just because your opponent is dead, what good did it do you ?

T^T

Quit whining like bitches about the result. The crybaby antics of the left are hysterical on one hand, but deeply disturbing on the other. These are adults and they're fucking pouting.

That's what your leftist thought control has created. A generation of weak fucking crybaby whiners who think that whining like a bitch is how you get what you want.

I only whine for the cake fuker...that is neither here nor there..do you have cake or not false god?

observe
1. One moment ago trump said he had cake
2. Next moment he said fukers i have no cake

...and the book of revelations foretold creature cumming..now when i cum, it is with a might, that has launched more than one wench into orbit

I heard about that Peon, seriously. On the non-serious side I always wonder if he was a buddy of Nevel Chamberlain.
