I went to my first Austin, TX kink event last night with one of my partners.

We weren't sure if we were going to go until the last minute. The whole day had been moving my younger partner from his place into the apartment and then doing clean up. I had gotten very little sleep the night before and was quite cranky and tired.

However, it was a free event and a kink art gallery showing, which my older partner really enjoys. One of the things we liked about the Crucible was their gallery openings and displaying alt/kink art.

So, last minute, my older partner decides he's going to go, even on his own. This inspires me so I rush to get dressed. First I chose my gold beaded corset but the bra front attachment ripped so I had to go to plan B- my black velvet rhinestone corset.

I was dressed and happily surprised my older partner and we headed off. It was night of course and we took awhile to find the right streets- surprised to find that it was in a residential house.

We made our way in and found that everyone was taking off their shoes- much to my partners delight. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the photos and paintings and displays. It has only been about 6-8 weeks since our last kink outing but it was funny how nice and new it was again to be in "kink social space."

Not being the very social types, we didn't mingle too much and only about 2 people introduced themselves. But I recognized about 6 from the ARS convention and munch I'd been to previously.

They presented a delightful rope/suspension scene that was very fun to watch and left both of us glowy inside which led us all the way into the bedroom when we got home and enjoyed a lot of raunchy fun.

We're not stabilized enough to start going to the monthly events that Austin offers, but it is very nice to be able to have that outlet here and know that when we're ready, we can start enjoying the social scene here again.

I hope you all find all the kink and fun you can stand, LA, and keep in mind, you guys aren't that far from Houston, at least for an occasional excursion.
