I think the major mistake the left is making is staring them right in the face and they seem like they're deliberately not seeing it.
The issue of "American Values" is not "settled" like the left wants it so desperately to be.
Clearly, almost half of the voting public (and I'm still waiting to see how many dead people voted Democratic, this time around) have rejected the Lefties' socialist ideals.
Think about a moron candidate calling half of the country a "basket of deplorables".
Of course, it doesn't stop there. I posted in one of these threads about the fine, up-standing SJW Broadway actor who made the mistake of asking Vice President-Elect Pence to protect his (he used "our", since he was speaking for a group) "American Values". Unfortunately, four years earlier, he'd made a Twitter post in favor of rape.
That's not one of my values and I am, very much, American.
There are a plethora of issues upon which many Americans disagree; abortion, gun control, the demon weed, the use of the word "marriage" to ensure the rights of same-sex partners (I am not against equal protection. I'm against the government having anything to do with a religious practice) ... obviously, the list goes on. The real crux of all of these issues is how the Left seems to rail against the facts. If half of the country (or, maybe more, if we realize that not every eligible voter bothers to vote) doesn't agree with what the other half considers to be "American" values, who the fuck are the Left to insist the issue is "settled"?
The Alinskyesque battle lines have been drawn. What the Left doesn't realize is that their tactics (if not their ideals) are wrong.
Lastly, the Left has been engaging in a cultural war on European-Americans for, at least, twenty years. We're still just over 200 years on and maybe we are "figuring out" just what "American Values" are.
Of course this country was built on (legal) immigration and, of course, that means the things that make us American are bound to change somewhat, but you don't swim across a river, enter the country, illegally, and then, demand that we change to meet your demands.
The same thing with legal immigrants that come to this country because they just want a better life outside of the purview of Sharia law. I'm with that, but I won't have you imposing the values of the Sharia-run shit hole you left to come here so that you turn this country into a Sharia-run shit hole, as well.
White people aren't "less than". My God! If we took just a portion of the rhetoric from the Left and switched the word "white" for the word "black", we'd have an honest-to-goodness armed insurrection in this country.
Lefties: Enough the holier-than-thou bullshit. You have to be holy, first and y'all ain't.
